Golf IN FEBUARY IN WISCONSIN
Senic View is just as advertised! Fall colors leave us in awe all of the time. Leaves generally clear on greens. Too bad golfers don't repair ball marks. It makes a round last an extra 30mins cleaning up with a foursome! This can't be put upon a course. Its the lazy people or clueless that diminish any courses reputation. The staff is friendly and considerate as any in the business. Any time I have had issues at this venue they have been addressed to my complete satisfaction. This can't be said about all courses. The only drawback that I can think of at Senic View is the lack of selections in the beverage cart. If this small thing could be addressed , in my option it would just be the cherry on top of a sundae. Please keep it up.
Great time
No one could complain about golf in Nov. lost 2 balls just off the fairway due to leaves but had a great time!!! Played 18 in 3 hours
Extremely slow play
Very slow pace due to bottlenecks on the course and older players. Also, two of the holes should have bells installed to prevent players hitting into others on blind shots.
Nice
We always enjoy playing at Scenic View, a fun course, definitely Scenic, especially in the Fall.
Scenic View review
Very good hot deal . Need every club in the bag.
Pace of play very good other than weekends.
Scenic View is worth it
Scenic View is worth the short trip to Slinger. The course conditions were good, some easy, but also some challenging holes. The green fees are very reasonable, so it will be somewhere that I will return and play again.
vintage golf !!!!
We had a great experience! Vintage golf course. A couple of holes with incoming shots from other fairways but I sent some their way too!
Great young staff, working hard!!!
The only draw back is their driving range.
Small and you can't use your driver!
Well taken care of.
Went out just after outing, course was in very nice shape. Will definitely play again.
Fun Track
Well maintained course with some good holes, especially 7 and 18.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Only issue was a foursome that was incredibly slow. Cruised thru the first 13 holes then took 2 hours to play the last 5
Greens were consistent and in great shape.
My Best Round Ever
Shot even par (72) on Tuesday for the first time in my life. The weather was perfect, and the course was in good shape. The greens putted well, as I took 24 putts for the round.
The layout is fun with about 5 tough holes, 5 or 6 easy ones, and the rest of average difficulty. As an 8 or 9 handicapper I find the course to be enough of a challenge but not too easy.
The only complaint I have with the course is that the greens get hard and do not hold high irons.
Great Golf Now course!!
Play Scenic View at least 10 times a season..
Great course!
worth the money
Nice course for the price. Not real long, but still a challenge
Pace of play issues
This is the 2nd time I'very played this course in 12 months and both times I experienced very slow pace of play. This time it was a large outing that occupied 11 of the 18 holes. Last time there wasn't an outing and the pace of play was just as slow. Both times were on a Friday. I don't believe I will be playing this course any longer.
Nice course
One of my favorites so far. Would recommend to my friends. Will definitely be back.
Poor Course Management
Poor course management. As we made the turn from 9 to 10 as a twosome in a cart, we found A walking foursome had been placed right in front of us that had not played the front nine. I was assured that due to the fact that they were members they knew golf etiquette and would let us play through. This was not the case as we asked to play through two holes into the back nine and got major attitude. I do not blame the foursome as much as I blame the golf course for the poor time and course management.
Impressive course for the money
This course exceeded expectations by a long shot. Now all they could have done better was stop the rain! Course was in great shape. A good mix of challenging holes. Some blond shots which can be annoying, but they were helpful with a few aiming targets. Pace was good enough. I tend to ways want to play faster. Everyone was friendly from the staff to the other golfers. Spent less than $20 on a round with a cart and felt like I was playing a $40-$50 round. Golf carts are a little tired, but still serviceable. They will need to update those soon. When I come back to this area I will definitely be looking to hit this course again.
Good place to play golf
Generally the environment is good. After 5 pm will be kind crowded. Other than that is great.
Slowest Play I've ever Had.
This isn't so much about the course but rather about the clientele. They had three outings and a wedding in one day. That's a little much for any course. Seemed like there were a million foursomes who all played incredibly slow.
The course was actually fairly nice. The fairways rolled nicely and the rough was challenging but not crazy long. The greens could have been much softer and there isn't any difference in flag color to determine where the pins are on the green. Nice mix of long and short holes with some blind shots.
Not Customer friendly
I have played this course for many years at fun outings and always liked the staff and conditions. However this time I played as a 2 some with my aunt who is a senior. We were greeted by a young college kid who was disrespectful and told us the bar area was closed. We checked in at the new shack and paid for our golf, which was on golfnow.com, the torrential rains came in after 9 holes exactly and we werent able to get a rain check. I get it but one would think a club would advertise construction and that the greens had tree debri on them in the middle of summer. Overall very disapointing experience..... Regards, Mike Froh
We must have had a storm roll through, the greens are mowed and blown daily. The golf pub is open 9:00am-9:00pm 7 days a week. Before 9am the Start House sells a full line of beverages including beer and mixed drinks. As far as a rain check, that is not our policy, our employee was wrong, and we would be happy to offer one.
