About
Located just northwest of downtown Milwaukee, Washington County Golf Club (formerly known as Family Park Golf Course) feels much further thanks to its seclusion in the beautiful Kettle Moraine area. Arthur Hills designed the course, which is ranked second in the nation among municipal golf course in Golf Digest. The layout sprawls across wide-open, gently rolling terrain. The subtle contours of the landscape provide a few difficult lies and they can also make the greens hard to read but overall it is a course that most players can approach with confidence. Thanks to a versatile layout it appeals to a wide range of skill levels and it is an ideal spot for tournaments and events. Over the years Washington County Golf Club has hosted several championships including the U.S. Open Qualifying Round and the Wisconsin PGA Championship.

Reviewing Washington County golf course
Always a great golf course to play. i look forward playing there. Nobody has a better practice area.
Great course-patrons need to take better care of it
This is a great course and you cannot beat the value you pay with GolfNow deal. However, the patrons who play this course do not take care of things they should. The greens are in pretty rough shape because of no one fixing their ball marks. It’s a shame
Greens so good
Best greens I've putted on with respect to speed in awhile. They were fast and true, but I wish I could have seen less pitch marks. Tons showing and I know I was playing at 5pm so expected but I must have been playing behind a few groups with the inability to bend over and fix.
I like the expansive scenery you get to see here and love the fact everything is separated by strips of fescue grass. It was windy, which seems to be a constant here and I really liked the holes along the large boulders. Added some good color and a strong visual element to the holes where those ran along the side.
Must play for sure while in WI and I can see why this is included on players top lists.

Spectacular Course.
Great Arthur Hills design. Pristine course maintenance. Greens, fairways, traps in excellent shape. Greens are tricky to read. Plays long. Amenities and staff are top notch.
A must play if in Wisconsin. A steal at $70 with cart.

What a track!
One of Washington County’s best county courses by far in the state. Greens were pure and tees boxes were mint along with fairways. Staff was accommodating considering I botched the tee time, but they managed to squeeze my friend and I on still. Grounds crew was on site which makes the place so much more amazing. These people take pride in making this place a venue to remember. No question I’ll be back. Love the place! Keep it up.👌🏻
Challenging layout
Ample tee's to choose from. We play a combination that gives us 5900 yards. As 11 handicap at age 72 this yardage is both challenging and fair
Fantastic Course
Overall WCGC provided us a great and challenging golfing experience. Fairways and Greens were in excellent condition. We’re looking forward to future rounds!
