Finally rolled the greens - you can come back now.
Greens are now in great shape. For a month after aeration, golfers would not return to Hudson Hills due to very slow bumpy greens. Roiled greens due to event - evidently need more events. Need to supply fill for divots which are not attended to. Westchester county is investing in course: added lower level cart path on hole 8, improved drainage, bunkers not cut but have very good sand and are well attended. Very good municipal course, fix the divots and the course will be worth the price.

Great views, challenging but fair
Great views especially on 1 and 18. Hills are challenging, but the course has a very interesting layout.

Very Disappointed
Course was very wet. The course was full of high school students who were drinking beers and playing very very slow. I called the pro shop and told them what was going and they did nothing

Not organized
Was disappointed again! Starter has no clue how to organize and control pace of play, which I know is not done at the club house but when you put out groups and leave singles to fend for themselves or tell them to skip holes in order to fix the gaps, paying $80, I expect a designated time a smooth start to my round and the ability to get 18 holes in when that’s what I paid for. Way too much construction going on around the course and the cart paths need re-paving.

Aereation
It feels like every time I play HH, the greens have been aereated. Makes getting into a putting rhythm difficult. Course is dry in certain spots and extremely wet in others. Not sure why certain tees have been moved up.

A truly challenging course
Hudson Hills is one of the most challenging tracks you can find in the N.Y. metro area. Make sure you don’t underestimate the yardage when choosing which tee box to play from. There are lots of elevation changes that make most of the holes play longer than they read on the scorecard. If you’re not familiar with the course, take the time to drive up the cart path until you can see what problems a misplaced shot can cause you. This is not a wide open track. Placing your shots is paramount.
The greens have not fully recovered yet from aeration that was done a few weeks ago since the weather has been pretty dry, but they’re rolling well considering the conditions. They’re just not breaking quite as much as the look like they should, and not as fast as they will be once they fully recover and can be rolled. The rough is really penal in some places; the tightness of the rough reminds me at times of the Black course at Bethpage. Hard to get your club deep enough to get under the ball.
If you’re just a beginner golfer, I would recommend you wait a while before taking on this course. However if you are looking for a stunning and challenging round, look no further. Hudson Hills fits the bill.

Price didn’t match condition
Nice course, just not in condition to charge over $100/person. Crappy bunkers and aeration made putting awful.
