Pace too slow
Played here many times, but too many beginners on this course, always holding us up.
Wouldn’t even let us pass when no one is in front of them for few holes.
Never a ranger & the course really needs to control the pace of play.
Otherwise, a challenging course in good shape.

Wind is not your friend
This course is nestled in the Hudson Valley it provides extremely beautiful views from atop the highest points of the property ..However it is also extremely difficult. The epitome of Target golf much too difficult for the average golfer. you could call this place the home of the side hill lie. A little over 6300 yards from the Green tees, if you do decide to play this course the changes in elevation are so drastic and the fairways are so narrow that you must choose a day with absolutely no wind or you’re going to be in trouble I shot an 83 but that’s only because for some reason my putting came alive at the right time.The greens were true and in good shape, Probably because nobody ever hits them ha ha Ha The staff was very friendly and obliging . If you want a change from your classic golf course which is usually back-and-forth back-and-forth back-and-forth then this place is definitely worth a visit but be prepared to have your ego dented.

Tough course in very good shape . Some construction going on now just making things even better . Leaves were a problem as they are this time of year most anywhere.

Excellent test
Course played well. 7th hole (par 5) played as a par 3, due to construction. Blowing leaves from greens would help overall play.

Good value for the price.
The condition if the course is very good, the staff , clubhouse and scenery are very nice .
Sadly the rough is too high balls 10 to 30 feet off fairways are readily lost .
Compliments but its not my kind of course.

Challenging course, beautiful views, good condition.
Pleased to have played my first round here on Thursday, Nov 5 from the Green tees. Course was in very good condition, even the par 3 where they’re rebuilding tee boxes, which was a bit distracting. Accuracy off the tee is your key to success here with lots of elevation changes and tight fairways, following your ball flight and locating it can be difficult. Greens were in great shape, rolling quite well and with enough undulations to make you think twice on movement. You’ll easily use the majority of clubs in your bag on this course, especially if you’re playing smart / consistency over strength. Look forward to going back.

Not worth the money or the hike from NYC
This course is in great condition for a muni. The problem is that the layout makes very little sense. You have a ton of blind shots and odd turns. Solid for a muni course, but at this price and distance, plenty of better courses.
