Mohansic Golf Course

Had a very frustrating experience yesterday and would recommend being cautious playing here any time other than the dead heat of summer. Scheduled a 12:54PM tee time a week in advance, then was suprised to receive an automated email an hour before the tee time that they had experienced frost delays all morning and only sent off groups starting at 9:30AM. Called the pro shop instantly when I got the email and was told a 20-30 minute delay. Arrived at the course and was then told it be more like an hour after I was booked. Then ultimately started our round 1 hour and 30 minutes late. Had to pay full price, wait around for a long time, started incredibly late and could not finish 18 holes (asked and was told no luck to be discounted anything). Unfortunately, I play a lot of public golf in Westchester and traveled to this course for a change of pace but will NOT be returning. I understand weather is unpredictable and can delay a round of golf on many occasions, however, it's quite frustrating when they don't send any notice until late morning when this has already been going on for hours and proceed to take your money but not provide the adequate service. Bummer but lesson learned at Mohansic.

Course was in very good shape. Much better then in the beginning of June. Sand in the bunkers was very soft, the way they should be. Played with 3 very nice strangers. We all had a great time.

Fun track and good value for money, always enjoyable

course was in the best shape i’ve seen it in in years, which isn’t saying much. VERY slow pace of play. anticipate 5 hours due to all the walking golfers

I played Mohansic for the first time on 10/7. The course was in great shape, and a good value. Layout favors accuracy over distance. There are multiple holes with blind tee shots, which this time of year makes it difficult to find your tee shot even if you hit it down the middle. Lots of contour to the fairways so you never really know where your ball will end up. Greens also have a lot of slope, which adds difficulty against the relatively short layout. Overall I recommend it - if you are OK with blind tee shots.

Was told at check in that the cart fee was additional. Never had that happen to me anywhere in NY or S.C. when I have booked on line.

Second time here confirms everything I liked about this course. Provides a leisurely round with some challenges minus the gimmicks. Speedy greens with plenty of movement.

Do get a ranger so the pace of pay is not 15 minutes a hole . It was tough .

Awful 5.5 hours to play . 4 some played ahead of us , turns out they were part of a league . Why is a league going at 1 pm smh 🤦. Won’t be going back any time soon !

I hadn't played Mohansic GC in almost 30 years, so there was a lot that I don't remember about specific holes, but overall the course was in great shape. One (1) Par-3 green was a little crispy and aerated, hopefully that will mend with time. Also the #2 hole was closed as they offered a somehwhat challenging, uphill Par-3 as an alternative. Some of the tee boxes were a little tattered and rough, but not a huge deal. A great day to return to an old course that I thoroughly enjoyed
