About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Fun, challenging, and long course
This is a fun course to play. The conditions are good and a few of the holes are challenging especially when it is windy. The last hole is different yet challenging (due to its uniqueness). There are multiple sets of tees including the tips for long players. The pace of play was great for the front 9 but got backed up during the back 9. I was still able to finish in less than 4 hours. Nonetheless, I recommend others play this course.

A gem in the island
It's a little bit far from where I live as I need to drive about 40 minutes. But I guess this course is worth driving that far. You have free range balls, fairway condition is a way better than most of the municipal courses, and the green is true and rolling fast. There is a very short par 4 hole, which you can drive to the green (250 to 270 from the yellow or blue tee), which is a lot of fun. Staffs are very friendly too. Overall, I will visit this course more in the future.

Great Track
This golf course never disappoints. I’ve played it many times and it’s a perfect blend of playability and will also punish you for dumb decisions. Tees, fairways, and greens are all in great shape. Always a consistent, good day of golf at the bridges

First time to play the Bridges in Gunter, Tx.

Worth the drive!
As a teacher, I spend much of my summer driving around north Texas in search of good, fast greens. The bridges has the best greens I’ve played so far this summer. Firm, fast, and consistent would be apt descriptions. I always have more fun playing with I don’t have to worry about the ball getting to the hole. The ball runs out beautifully on these greens. Except for the slightly goofy 18th hole, I’d say this course is one of the best public access courses in north Texas. Definitely worth the extra drive!

Very nice course and conditions were good. Pace of play was a bit slow but no real problem. #18 is still not my favorite hole but really enjoyed our round
