Course was in good shape great layout just had to wait not their fault because of early frost
Great Course for Any Skill Level
I was tipped off about this course by one of my buddies. Since then I’ve played this course a couple times a month and feel like it’s challenging enough and the layout is great. It’s also a great price and will not break the bank to get out there and get in 18.
The course was fun and very beautiful, especially the front 9. It's unfortunate the condition of the bunkers right now, but other than that no huge complaints.
The worst golf experience I’ve had so far
I went to stone creek at 5:55 with a tee time at 6:00 I went there first I stood around for a while when I finally got service I started play but as soon as I reached the 8th hole and it got dark you would think since they offer twilight tee times they would have some kind of lighting but nope I was lost in the dark the cart path unseeable so then when I was on the 8th hole after paying for 18 I was asked to return the cart with no compensation for the holes not played so all in all this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a golf course
Get what you pay for
Overall a decent course for the money you pay. Greens have been well kept, fairways decent bud still have plenty of hard patches along the way that makes it an unplayable lie. For some reason the bunkers have been let go, also making them unplayable. For this wanting to be a flagship course for North Texas, you’d wish they put some more effort into every aspect of course conditions. My most recent round was a 230pm tee time on a Thursday and was expecting course to be pretty open for a quick round. By home 3 multiple 4somes at a snails pace. By the turn, there weee 6 groups waiting and no Marshall in sight to sort things out. Pace of play has never been important to them and it’s apparent. They are so close to being a great course but still seem to fall in bad habits of just being your local muni.
Spectacular course, great elevation changes, excellent condition in winter, very nice greens.
Stone Creek reborn!
I was thrilled that the course was in excellent condition, even dormant. The greens look and play great. I know it must have taken a lot of hard work to make them right because the last time I played here (2 years) they looked like they had mange if they even had any grass at all. I took my brother-in-law for his birthday and we couldn't be happier with our day. Great job Stone Creek! Will be booking again soon.
