Aussie Fairway Tales (Golf Critique)
Jindalee Golf Club has the bones of a decent suburban course, but the experience is dragged down by the people running it. The layout itself is surprisingly enjoyable a mix of forgiving fairways and a few holes that actually make you think and the pace of play is usually fine. Although, I believe this was due to the fact I played on a Friday. Conditions sit in the “acceptable but nothing special” bracket: playable greens, patchy fairways, and the occasional rough spot.
Where the place completely falls apart is the customer service.
The pro shop staff member was, frankly, one of the rudest young, assuming pro, member you’ll encounter at a Brisbane club. Short, dismissive, and uninterested in even basic courtesy. Whether you’re checking in, asking a simple question, or trying to buy something, you’re met with the same attitude: like you’re inconveniencing him by existing.
One of the bar staff members was not much better. Instead of the friendly, relaxed vibe you expect at a local club, you get cold looks, clipped responses, and the sense they’d rather you hurry up and leave. It’s a shame, because the off course amenities themselves are actually quite good, newly renovated. The facilities could easily support a great social atmosphere if the staff cared enough to create one.
Overall, Jindalee Golf Club is a place with potential, but the service culture is so consistently rude that it overshadows everything else.
A hidden gem
This course offers something for everyone. Nine holes with challenges for everyone of different levels. Staff are very friendly and the grounds are really clean.
Really enjoy the day
Great little course. For the price it’s worth it. Staff were great and friendly. Play was a little slow but we were in no great rush.
9 hole gem
Played early, 8am, playing 9 holes, single player before us.
Pretty much had the course to ourselves.
Great value
Nothing flash or pretentious just a tidy, well kept course. Struggles if it's too wet as it can flood. Greens are challenging but true.
Good choice for golf player
Playing at Jindalee Golf Course is absolutely fantastic! The green fees are very affordable, the fairways are in excellent condition, and the staff are extremely friendly. I’ve played three rounds here, and each experience has been wonderful. I’m sure this will become my go-to golf course in the future!
The corse
I liked the corse, had to play smart, bunkers and water hazards placed well
Grass was a bit long and some greens were a bit tired
Was going along fine until cause up to the group of 4 in front and wouldn’t let through so the last 5 holes were really slow
All in all I will be back great little corse to practice on
No hassels
Had a game with my Son
Course in Great Nick for the price
Will play there again !
