Great golf course
While not in the pristine condition it once would have been in its glory days, it’s still a terrific golf course where every hole is its own experience. The bunkers could do with a top up of sand and the greens had a lot of unrepaired divots (though that’s probably more to do with the lack of care by hackers).
Palm Meadows
Glad to return to this great course after several years. Always a challenging layout with room to score low when your game is working well. Greens are always soft on approach and a good pace to putt.
Great resort style course
Nice course. Lots of water and quite long but in very good condition. Recommend it.
Great course. Excellent value
Played today. Fairways are greens are in excellent condition. Technically challenging course with plenty of bunkers and lots of water. Very picturesque course.
Pace of play was quite slow. It took 4 1/2 hours to complete the round.
Had lunch and drinks after- good food at reasonable prices.
An excellent day out. Highly recommended
Windy but worth it.
Played Palm Meadows on Monday 28th December - teed off at around 11am. Group in front did not hold us up although they played/stole my ball 7th fairway. Course played well after the heavy rain 2 weeks prior. Greens did not hold the ball on approach shots sadly however I was very happy indeed to grab my first eagle on the 15th in about 25 years!!
Unfortunately lately, not today though, I am finding myself feeling very disappointed in the players in front of me being very slow with no consideration for the players behind them and players behind teeing off while I have yet to even reach my second shot. What has happened to the true golf etiquette - a reflection of society these days perhaps.
Will play Palm Meadows again in the future no doubt.
Great course!
This course is worth every cent of the green fees.
A great all rounder course
Lovely golf course, great mix of holes, greens nice and fast. Really enjoy playing there
A true championship layout
The course is a great design so a good challenge for better golfers. Greens in great condition and a joy to play on Bent grass greens. The course was still playable even after very heavy recent rains although bunkers all GUR since damaged and in disrepair from washouts by the heavy rain. Great modern carts with GPS and ice filled esky. 18th hole is one of the best holes in the region. The course is very good value for money. However if you want to play on a perfectly manicured resort course you will pay double the price of Palm Meadows. Approx 4hrs 20min for a mostly full field of players was ok. Playing off white markers was good but would have liked blue marker option as makes much tougher challenge on several holes. Have played the course back in its heyday when course conditions were superb but overall still very happy with this recent golfing experience. Will return for another round.
Course Great - Green Keepers Not
Tee’d off at 5.45am, first 8 holes went well until the 9th when we were about to hit the approach shot on the green when the staff just rocked onto the green & started working & took flag out & spend the next 10mins doing there stuff & just as they left they turned the sprinklers on the Green. This was pretty much the same at the 10th & they knew we were there. Speaking to the group that backed up behind us said this happens all the time. It was a slow back 9 because we weren’t waiting for playing groups just green grew.. Positive course beautiful & greens in awesome condition. We tried the course to look to move from another - but not sure now.
First Impressions
I had a good hit out at Palm Meadows. The weather was good, the fairways were quite green for late November and the greens themselves were in excellent condition.
The etiquette of the patrons was as it should be, my only points for improvement would be to review the cost of playing (too expensive by comparison to other courses of similar or better quality) and review the on course food and drink service (under stocked and barely seen).
