Played blue and green today and for the premium price tag that i paid the blue 9 didn't stack up. The fairways were patchy and green didn't roll true also the holes look like they haven't been moved in a month, the grass around the cups was terrible.
Pace of Play
The pace of play was not as good as previous games. With groups of social 4's and 3 groups of 2's this created a bottle neck of play.
However, the course was in great condition and regardless of the slow play, the Green/Gold course is always a joy to play.
A good round
Played today with visitors from Melbourne and we all enjoyed the Qld hospitality from the Royal Pines staff. The course was suffering from the extra traffic of the Easter break but it did not spoil our enjoymemt
Course was in excellent condition. Rough was thick from the recent rain but the fairways were good and greens were true and fast.
I booked through golfpass and fi d I have been charged twice for my round...by golfpass and also by the proshop. No one will get back to me about how to fix this or be refunded. Terrible experience
Friendly and helpful staff the lady told us that the blue course wasn't looking the best so she accommodated us on the green and gold course. Teed off around 2pm pace of play was good we never really held up, fairways and green would be a 9/10.
the only downside would have been the tee boxes 7/10, they look like they need to be changed, moved and/or mowed.
Overall great day royal pines is and always has been of great standards
BLUE 9 greens very fluffy - greens grass too long - disappointing they were not cut down to match the GOLD and GREEN 9's - difficult to switch between slow greens and perfect pace greens mid round.
