About
Colts Neck Golf Club is one of central New Jersey's most popular courses. The diverse course offers everything from Scottish-style bunkers to sparkling lakes. Tall golden fescue rough borders the fairways and the greens are large and undulating. The course is seemingly short at only 6,236 yards but it shouldn't be taken lightly. It's much more challenging than it appears. The layout finishes with two of its toughest holes. The 17th has a tough green fiercely guarded by out-of-bounds and the course saved the most difficult hole for last. This par 3 will test even the most seasoned golfers. In addition to the golf course, Colts Neck also has a 25-station driving range that stays open late. It's a great spot for getting in some practice after work.

Golfer Reviews
A number of tee boxes are being renovated , They are not ready yet but look fantastic! Great job Colts Neck I'm looking forward to my next round there
Course in excellent condition, we’ll maintained. Staff friendly and courteous
Nice layout, good greens, too many temporary tee boxes, no customer service
Although the layout was nice and the greens were in good shape. The round was slow it took over 4:30. The back 9 had too many temporary tee boxes having you tee oof in the mud. The fairways had been recently aerated as well.
Also, my cart started having problems on hole 13. I could not go up even a slight incline. I called the pro shop and was told that someone would meet me at hole 14 to switch carts. No one came out and I had to pushed the remainder of the round by my playing partners anytime I had an incline.
For the price I paid for this green fee this is unacceptable . I would not recommend this course at this time.
Temp tee boxes
Don't play here unless you can pay $30 with carts. All par 5s are temp tees. Course plays significantly short and plays at par 67 or less. Not worth your money at over 90 dollars.
Quiet tucked away
The course was in nice shape unfortunately the greens have been Aerated a week ago and it made the greens a tad slow
Great Layout, Bad Condition + Unpleasant Staff
The course layout is great - no complaints there. However, there were multiple temporary tee boxes which made some par 5's essentially par 4's, the greens had recently been punched and this information was nowhere to be found on their website, and some of the greens were in pretty awful condition outside of the aerifying. On top of this all, the starter was completely unpleasant. I showed up right on time for my tee time, but the starter insisted I was late and gave me a hard time for no reason, starting my round in a very unpleasant manner. This was the third time I've been here; the second time was great, but the first time I experienced a somewhat similar issue except with the person in the pro shop. Seems like customer service is not a priority here at all, and when the conditions are average at best like they were today, I don't see any reason to come here. I made the mistake of associating "semi-private" with great quality / a great experience overall, but I learned my lesson and will take my money elsewhere.
Value
Love this course. It is typically in great shape. Last time and this time I played, Tee boxes in bad shape. 3 or 4 Tee boxes were closed and temps move way forward. I understand this needs to be done as they were redoing the Tee boxes. However, to charge $100 is a crime when in this condition.
Semi Private
They would not let us bring a cooler on the cart. The 4th hole was the first time we saw the cart girl and she drove right past us. She finally showed back up when we were on the 14th hole. At that point we found out you CAN NOT purchase anything unless you are a member of the club. Also carts have gps on them but none of them worked. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Not happy
Course had 3-4 closed tee boxes; greens were very fast which was fine but too many unfixed divots and other blemishes; waited on every shot and that was the either the result of overbooking or just slow play... we showed for a 10:36 slot and after being told by an obnoxious starter that we were next after a 10:27 group all of a sudden a group with a “10:31” time showed up and we were pushed back. There won’t be a return visit
