Great Bang For Your Buck!
I haven't played this course in over 10 years and my first time being back didn't disappoint. It wasn't a challenging course by any means, but it's a very nice course for someone just getting into the sport. It's not very long, but the water on the course makes up for it's distance on some holes. My only gripes are the greens being a little burned out (it's been a very hot summer in NJ so this is a minor issue) and the bunkers are very odd. Other than that, I would highly recommend this course to anyone.

Pace of Play
I've only played here a few times, and the pace of play is always an issue. While there is a ranger out on the course, they don't appear to be doing anything to actually move the pace of play along, for example, recommending people to just pick up when they've gone to triple bogey, etc. I don't know that I would play here on the weekend again considering that around takes more than five hours almost every time I've been here.

The staff here is always friendly.
The course is fun because it has multiple easy short par 4's. Tow that are reachable from the tee for long hitters but if you play form the blue tees, it is harder than you anticipate. It has just enough subtle trouble to get you and the last 5 holes are all legitimate.
The greens roll true so birdie putts fall. It is a fun course despite looking easy on the scorecard.
