Tee Times too close together
They try to pack as many people onto the course as possible then yell at the people teeing off for playing two slow. There was literally a group on the green, group on fairway, and 1-2 groups waiting at every tee box from 1 thru 9. Took us almost 5.5 hours to play a course that should take 3.5-4. It’s a joke that they charge $65 a head then pack you in like sardines. Also no cart girl on a holiday weekend.
The employees at Gambler Ridge are outstanding.
I have been running golf outings at Gambler Ridge for many years. I run two a year. The reason I keep coming back is due to the help and support of John Cereste and Susan Browne.
They take great care of us and make things run smoothly every time.
They go the extra mile to make every outing a success and a great time.

Nice place to play especially for the money
I only play here every once in a while because it’s not close to my house. The layout has always been fun and in good condition. The price has also been very good. We always enjoy lunch at the bar too. We prefer Gambler’s Ridge to its neighbor around the corner.

Slow
If there are groups ahead of you, will be told you are playing to slowly and need to pick up the pace. Due groups being timed to closed together.

Very unfriendly staff, and very overbooked!
To start, the staff here was miserable. The starter and guy working in the pro shop were some of the worst people I’ve met in a while. Very disrespectful, condescending, and rude. No idea what they’re so mad about at noon on a sunny June day. Course itself was alright, rough was long, and the tee boxes were meh. Pace of play was SLOW. Way too overbooked. Save your time and play elsewhere (Cream Ridge is nearby). The staff here ruined my overall experience, and didn’t seem to care. Safe to say, I will not be returning.
Learn to treat your customers with kindness, as we are choosing to give you our business. If they treat everyone in this manner, the course will be used for farmland within the next year or two.

place of play was 4 1/2 hours but could have been under 4 hrs 1 person from my group of 3 left after number 13 because pace was so slow

Meh
Course was okay nothing to write home about. Greens were bumpy and pretty slow. Pace of play was meh, played in about 4:45.
Be wary later in the summer, seems like course is already drying out in spots.

Rough review
Play course a few times notice the rough is pretty high. Ok if you hit the fairways but most people don’t, they spend more time looking for balls and slowing down play. Gambler should think about addressing that issue 100% slow play appalling. As one of the Starters told me if you don’t like it don’t play here which I thought was a bulls—t answer. Majority of play is people over 55yrs old. At this point, I would recommend Cream Ridge or Hanover just because of the arrogant response.
