Huge improvement
I played this course last summer and left after 13 holes because I was frustrated by the pace of play and the course conditions. The new owner has really done good things so far the greens were on par with some of the higher tier courses, The fairways were solid, the paths are improved and pace of play was fast. I look forward to seeing how this course turns out moving forward.
Still needs help
The staff was great. Greens were very good. Fairways good. Tee Boxes terrible. The rough if you can call it that is terrible as well. I randomly picked this course traveling from Long Island to Delaware because it was not too far off the highway. For $75 I would have not played there. I hate when you read reviews that do not tell the truth.
Had a very nice round
Would have been good if kitchen open for early morning rounds.
Tee boxes a little beat up but rest of course in very good shape. Great greens.
Also loved that the rough was not unnecessarily punitive.
My favorite course
Gambler Ridge is my favorite course due to its geographic location, the price and the staff… I am still working, so I usually play once per week, the new owners seem to be updating the course, some I love and some not so much, but that is it is 90%’better … and the things I miss are some of the trees( which I used to drive into..lol) the cart paths could use some work, however they started adding cinder in some areas so they are working on that..The staff has always been friendly, knowledgable and helpful…. The Bar and kitchen area are great I cannot pass up eating there after 18… I miss Erica, but Iit was explained to me why changes in the bar needed to be made… Overall a great course!
Gambler Ridge Condition
The course has not change in 20 years. I realize there are new owners and it takes a lot to make changes. The basic change I saw was in the pro shop which was cleaned up nicely. The playing course was in very good condition with the following exceptions, the rough, especially on the front nine needs trimming as it was very difficult to find your ball. On one of the holes just passed the driving range one of us almost tripped due to roots in the path to the green. The golf carts I was told are seven years old, we’re not clean and one of the two we had needed maintenance as it was difficult to use during the 18 holes. I believe the only other change made to the course was that they raised the rates.
Basic golf. Conditions were fine and the layout was fine, basic, but fine. Greens were slow and some holes required a straight drive. This course won't excite you but it won't bore you either. If you live within 30 minutes it's worth a look.
Gamblers Golf course is great
The new management has done lot of improvements on the course. They are maintaining the fairways, greens and cart path very well. Love to play again and again on this course
New owners are making the course better
I have played this course a good number of times. The staff is great and the new owners are making some needed changes to the course. One area that can be improved would be the rangers enforcing the rules in terms of speed of play.
What a spectacular course and staff!!!
I made an early tee time (6:44 am) and was a little later than desired. I walked into the shop at 6:41 expecting to be chastised for my tardiness. The rep was great, had my name, said, head right out to the starter and you’re good.
The course was beautiful and greens were fast and firm. A great round of golf!!!

If your concerned about pace of play on a public course then you should join a country club...just sayin
