Basic golf. Conditions were fine and the layout was fine, basic, but fine. Greens were slow and some holes required a straight drive. This course won't excite you but it won't bore you either. If you live within 30 minutes it's worth a look.
Gamblers Golf course is great
The new management has done lot of improvements on the course. They are maintaining the fairways, greens and cart path very well. Love to play again and again on this course
New owners are making the course better
I have played this course a good number of times. The staff is great and the new owners are making some needed changes to the course. One area that can be improved would be the rangers enforcing the rules in terms of speed of play.
What a spectacular course and staff!!!
I made an early tee time (6:44 am) and was a little later than desired. I walked into the shop at 6:41 expecting to be chastised for my tardiness. The rep was great, had my name, said, head right out to the starter and you’re good.
The course was beautiful and greens were fast and firm. A great round of golf!!!
Soilid course not crazy hard yet tough rough so keeping drive on fairways really helps. Will definitely play again.
Gambler Ridge On a Hot Day
The course was well maintained, with some easy and some challenging holes. I enjoyed playing here.
The more things change, the more they stay the same
First time playing here for the season and first with new owners. Liked that they opened up the course by taking out some trees and they finally fixed the road coming in. However, if they are going to double the green fees, they need to justify that change with more improvements on the course. If they make those changes, the fees will be justified.
costly round
If the price does not get better, we may find another venue.
If your concerned about pace of play on a public course then you should join a country club...just sayin
