Must Play Banks Course
If you are a fan of Charles Steam Shovel Banks, this is a must play. Course was restored by George Bahto and it shows. It has all of Banks’ template holes and the Biarritz is one of the best in the state.
Course was kept at very good condition. Sand was soft in the bunker.
A Long Day

Wide open. Not crowded. Nice layout. Not crazy challenging but just a great course for a good round with friends.

Fantastic layout.
Ridiculous greens. Fast and protected.
Ample landing zones.
Tee boxes are mostly fantastic.
Range is nice.

Pin placement needs to be worked out
The grass side of the course was in great condition. Rough was clean, between the trees were cleaned. Very impressed.
Bunkers need more sand. There are a lot of rocks in the bunker - can probably ruin your club.
Greens can be a bit faster but very reasonable.
Everything is great, except for the pin placements.
Greens are meant to be tough, but the pin shouldn't be placed right above the hill or a slope.
Missing the pin by 2 inches can have your ball rolling down the slope.
Pin should be placed in a more "leveled" part of the green. *especially hole 2 on the day I played.

Course was an excellent challenge, in great condition and staff was very friendly and helpful. Only negative was absolutely no food, snacks or any kind of beverages. Only water available

Very pleased with this course. Seriously considering a membership. Can’t wait to return!
No Ranger
Front nine was 2:41 mins long. We waited on ever shot. No ranger anywhere on the course. The foursome in front was hitting an average of 8 balls per shot. Golf shop was uninterested in any type of assistance. He was too busy chatting. Better options with care for pace of play.
Don’t Waste The Drive Time
Three hours and 27 minute front nine. No ranger on the golf course. Golf shop had no desire of being helpful. I was forced to dispute the entire charge.
