Buffalo Tournament Club

This course is one of the underrated courses in the area in my opinion but unfortunately is priced as if it’s comparable to the most premier public courses. Which is why I think this course sees some very underwhelming reviews. This course to me is worth playing but only with a deal on the tee time price or else there are much nicer courses in the area to play for the same price.

I had a tee time, then broke my foot. Canceled tee time immediately. They still charged me $108 for missed tee time. I kindly asked for my money back and explained the circumstances. And what I received was anything but kind. First they asked for medical records, then cell phone records. What kind of a place does this? A bush league, wannabe great course that is in terrible condition last time I actually golfer there.

STAY AWAY unless you want to be breathalyzer and harassed.

The layout and hole designs are great. The cart paths are either non existent or you’ll need a 4 wheeler to drive on. Some of the fairways have huge pockets of water and mud. We called in a food order at the 8th hole. Still had to wait 20 mins for 2 burgers with only 1 table of people in the room. If they are going to charge over $50 a round, they should definitely do some updates. . . . Other than the new restaurant.

The course was in great shape but the fairways were very flat and hard. Sometimes it was better to be in the rough because of how flat the fairway was, you would have a bad lie. The cart path could use some work but other than that it was great. The greens were very good as with the fringe and bunkers. The carts are great also, better than most courses since they give you the monitor with yardages on it. We got stuck behind a 4 some that was moving very slow, we kept getting “play ready golf” message on our monitor. There was nothing we could do since we were waiting at every tee box on the front 9. The back 9 was great since we got ahead of that group and didn’t have any problems at all. I would play this course again.

This course is begging for attention. Cart path is littered with potholes, both on and around the cart paths. The greens used to be the highlight of this course, but they are bumpy and shaggy. There is no sand in the bunkers, only compact gravel/sand mix. The fairways should be lush and green this time of year but instead it looks like end-of-summer conditions. Weeds galore, and the new irrigation they tried to install last year is unfinished, with drain pipes sticking out the ground and heaps of weed-covered dirt piled over them. Whoever runs this course is only concerned about the number of empty beer cans in the garbage that people brought in instead of paying for the owner's overpriced beer. Such a shame.

Woke up at 430 am to come play our 5:56 am tee time. Get there and the 15 year old kid in the pro shop tells us they aren’t opening till 7:30 No call, text, email and drove 30 minutes to get there.

I didn’t having to blow through a breathalyzer test to prove I wasn’t drinking on the course.

First day of the season. They stuck some flags in, no tee markers, aerated greens and the greens were full of winter debris.

On top of that they charge you $5 corkscrew fee and ask you to blow in a breathalyzer at the end of the round to get your $5 back.

Terrible experience! Definitely not worth the money! I am not going back there

I know there are many negative reviews for BTC but truthfully, the place has a great layout and the greens were in excellent shape. Being late in the fall the pace of play was good, the course has some fairway issues they need to work out, but just play pick clean and place and you can find a good lie. Recommend if you are able to get it for $40 or less.

Have played here several times over the years and course is always in less than average condition with puddles,ruts,etc. Add to this the fact that grass is left thick all around the greens and you are in for a tough time because you cannot roll up on the green and then are left having to pitch out of thick grass to very fast greens. Unless you are very good at putting backspin on your irons it's very difficult to land on the green and stay on. Public courses should be suited to average everyday golfers for the enjoyment of the game. If I didn't have a GolfNow hot deal or one of the courses buy one get one deals I probably wouldn't play here very often.

Golfed here over 20x’s. Every year I give them another try. This was final straw. I’ll go to Terry hills instead
