Hidden gem
I teed off at 3.05 on a saturday afternoon. It was pretty busy. The starter Did a great job moving everybody along.. The course has a really nice combination of holes With elevation changes high and low.. The course has a lot of hills for walking Being a
Senior I felt muscles. that I didn't even know I had pushing a golf cart. The greens were in excellent shape. A little slow, but very consistent throughout the course It's best to stay out of the rough. It can grab your club like Velcro. The pro shop staff were excellent very helpful.Overall I really enjoyed the course and I will definitely be back to play again.
Good fun course
Great times
Not bad but not great
First time playing at this location. It hasn’t rained in a few days but there was a good amount of standing water. The rough was ROUGH! If you didn’t roll your ankle while stepping on the ball you were looking for you weren’t finding it. Tried white, blue, yellow, pink. I’m no pro but when I wasn’t in the fair way I was only a few feet in the rough. As we looked around all you could see is people scratching their heads and pointing to the rough looking as confused as us. This affected the speed of play and it was close to 5 hours to complete the course with no breaks. The greens were alittle beat up but mostly it was the par 3s and other players not doing the right thing repairing their divet. That being said I enjoyed the course itself and staff was friendly.
Deteriorating
Used to play here multiple times a week as it was one of the nicer courses in the NYC area. Been a handful of times this spring now, and the course has become totally horrible. Every tee box is straight dirt, the greens are bumpy, the rough has dirt patches everywhere - sad to see the courses fall off. On top of that pace of play is horrible. Will not be returning.
