Douglaston!
Played this course as a young man with my father and it was a dust bowl. Now?... A beautiful, challenging, well kept course.
Challenging course, beautifully groomed
I played here in the 1908's with my father and I didn't even recognize the course this time. Back then it was a dust bowl. Today it is a beautifully manicured and competitive course.
A nice 9 in the city.
The greens were in great shape, pretty fast and very consistent. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I always enjoy my day at Douglaston.
GREAT BONES
THIS IS A COURSE THAT BEFORE IT’S UNFORTUNATE SHORTENING TO T A PAR 68 WAS A BEAR. THE ONE-TIME NORTH HILLS COUNTRY CLUB IS AN UNFOLDING TAPESTRY OF BLIND DRIVES, LONG HOLES FOLLOWED BY TRICKY SHORT ONES AND IT’S FAIR SHARE OF HILLS. OF COURSE LIKE MOST PUBLIC COURSES THE GREENS ARE A BIT SLOW WHICH HIDE WHAT WOULD BE DEVILISH BREAKS. ALL IN ALL A REALLY INTERESTING AND VARIED LAYOUT THAT WILL MAKE YOU USE MOST OF THE CLUBS IN YOUR BAG..
