First Time Playing

Great Experience!

I played there today for first time. Good thing I did not walk! Although there were many walkers. Visually it is a beautiful course. I played Split Rock last week and difference was like night and day. Very well maintained. Greens were in very good shape. Symtaff could not be nicer and the starter was first rate. It's obvious he is proud of the course. It was very busy, but ran like clockwork. Tee times are real tee times. Split Rock, different story. Carts were in good shape.

A few friends told me they felt the course is too short. I'm a 22 handicap and can drive 200 yards, buy I did not find it to be short at all. About 5600 yards from the blues in total.

What really threw me is the layout. A lot of hills and blind shots, so it was very challenging. Also the greens are very undulated. There was only a few flat greens.

Overall it was a refreshing experience. I must add that the clientele was very respectful and kept a good pace.
