Very good muni
I’ve played this course many times.
Always in good to very good condition as far as greens and fairways go. Hard to beat the conditions for a municipal course and much more interesting than clearview golf course even though this is a much shorter course.
Off the fairway it’s not the best condition. Sparse rough and on some holes there are lots of craters which can lead to a big number. Play smart since you don’t need to be long to score well here. 18 is a very nice par 5 to finish your round with.
Fun Day
Considering most courses around are brown from lack of rain, fairways were in excellent condition. Some greens had some bald spots.
Busy Friday
The tee times were backed up, so my 1:30p ended up @1:50p. Slow play due to multiple blind shots, a par 67 course took over 5 hrs.
The course like most showed the effects of a dry summer, some dirt tee boxes and fairways.
Nice round
This public course is like a mountain course, up and down a lot, not too long but somewhat challenging, course is in good shape.
Warm Thursday in Octover
Some of the tee boxes were in awful condition...full of weeds or NO grass at all. The aeration holes made it tricky to put the tee in so that it could grip.
After two days rain
The course was moist and wet in places, due to the amount of rain the past couple of days. The approach shots did not run up to the greens, adjustments for wetter aprons needed. The aeration holes were still there, and the greens growing in made putting tricky.
It was confusing to find the tee boxes for some of the holes. Direction signs would help
Aerated and windy
The greens and tee boxes just aerated no sand yet. The wind gusting 25+ tried to stay in sun too cool for the shade.
