Douglaston Golf Club

Overall experience was poor. There was no respect for pace of play and virtually every hole was jumped in or jumped over by other players. Clearly there were no experienced players and no golf etiquette. There was no ranger to enforce any rules. If you have six hours, don’t care about the quality of the game this is the place for you

So many slow golfers. There was no a ranger to control slow golfers. I had to wait every holes. I was very happy to play this golf course but not anymore.

The fairways and greens were very well maintained. It is a short course but fun and open.

So far this place is good for playcoplayer friendly & good condition on green

Tee boxes were chewed up, Greens were filled with ball marks. Pace of play was slow. The group in front of us had 5 people playing (3 walking, 2 riding in seperate carts). No ranger in sight all day. Cart path was like a mine field and Carts were backfiring throughout the round. Tee'd off at 830, Round was 5:25 and we were constantly waiting to hit shots due to slow play ahead. Tee box on 18 was overgrown with weeds

I love playing douglaston its a fun course for the public. This is the first time I've had this issue but there were 2 holes that where covered in some sort of hornet or wasp hives. On the first hole my partner hit a great drive he had to leave other wise he would have been walking right into there nest and on one of the later par 3s I had to hit my birdie put away from them without lining up. Probably will wait for cooler weather or issue is resolved before going back to douglaston.

There were so many weekend golfers. It made every holes to hold a lot. I used to finish 18 holes in 3 and half hours as normal, but it took me 5 hours and 15 minutes to finish.

Many new unskilled player were on the fairway and hit a golf ball lazily and stayed most time on fairway. Well I know it is really exiting moment while playing golf. They need more time practice at the range and to consider other players as a good manner person. I’m not going to go this course in weekend. Waisted time and money.
