Ravenwood Golf Course
About
Ravenwood Golf Club is situated in the Finger Lakes region in western New York. It's one of the most popular public championship courses in the Rochester region. Robin Nelson designed the course in 2002. He utilized the gently undulating landscape to seamlessly connect the holes to one another so that the whole golf course has a natural flow. The front nine is gentler than the back, where the par 3s present formidable tests. The water hazards on the back are particularly challenging. The golf course finishes with one of its most memorable holes. Ravenwood's par-5 18th has a green that's tucked into the woods with the hill behind it forming a natural amphitheater. A challenging array of seven strategically placed bunkers guards the green and approach area.

Great course at a great price
Course is in great shape considering the harsh winter, a couple of greens showing a bit of damage but coming along well, fairways and tee boxes in great shape. Can't wait to play again.
good value
first time here and was well worth it fast greens and well placed bunkers to keep things challenging
Great course
Great price for the best course in the area! A little winter damage, but very playable. A wonderful morning round.
Greens in poor condition
Fairways in great shape, but the greens are in terrible shape. I saw them out there working on them, but until they get them fixed its not worth the money they charged.
Gem of Rochester Area
Course is excellent the new GPS in the carts is phenomenonal. A couple of the greens need some work but other than that this place is awesome.
Very Slow Greens
Many holes had damage and they were not cut very low. Staff was working on many holes, some with more than 5 workers at a time.
Did not like the appearance with the rough being let to go to seed (heather).
The course is in great shape
With the very wet spring, the course is still in very good condition. I have played here many times, I never had a bad experience. Highly recommended.
Advertise you've punched the greens
Greens were almost entirely unplayable. The courses or Golfnow.com or both need to be up front about punching the greens when you sign up. For the greens they had yesterday, paying even $25 was too much and the price of $45 was insulting.
Ravenwood
Good value. Worth the drive. Would definitely make the extra distance to play again.
Nice treat for a golfer.
Always a pleasure to golf here. Even though it's early in the season the coarse is in great shape and well maintained.
Best public course for the money I've played so far!
Course was in great shape for April, facilities are very clean, staff is professional, and carts are quite new with gps. Simple but challenging course!!
ravenwood
Pace of play was decent. Course conditions were excellent given the time if year. Gps in carts is great feature! Food at turn was horrible- cold by the time we got there, undercooked chicken and burger was incredibly dry. All in all there for golf and course is fantastic!
Good value
One of the better courses in the area. The address on golfnow was incorrect and leads to a housing track.
Early season rates are fair
really kind of early in season to rate fairly.
the greens had moderate speed but were a little bumpy. played lift clean and place
slow play for the number of players
While late in the season we had to wait on every hole with singles and two-sums on the course. After 3.5 hours we left the course with 4 still to play.
Excellent course, fun and challenging.
This is the best time of year to play this course. Green Fees are lower and very reasonable for such an excellent course. This truly a great deal. The course is in tournament shape.
Great GolfNow value for a 5-star course
The GolfNow price was a bargain for this 5-star course. It is an "upscale daily fee" course, which treats you like a "country club member" for the day. Staff was cordial and the facilities were first-rate. We enjoyed the driving range and restaurant too. The multiple sets of tees provides for a moderate to very challenging experience. The conditions were excellent. Ravenwood is one of the top five courses around.
One of the best in area; great vistas
Greens could be rolled/cut....a little bumpy in spots. Other than that, an enjoyable experience!
Bad Greens
Disappointing greens spoiled an otherwise excellent golfing experience. These greens were a bit shaggy and slow which required hitting putts a lot harder than normal,(ball would not roll out). The course is one I've played numerous times and is a great value if not for this characteristic which I have not had before when playing there.
