Course review mill Pond Golf Course
The course was good. The greens were slow and inconsistent. Some of the sand traps had little sand.
FIVE & ONE HALF HOURS
FIVE & ONE HALF HOUR ROUND. TEE TIME WAS 1/2 HOUR BEHIND. COURSE IS WAY OVER BOOKED. NOT ENOUGH TIME BETWEEN TEE TIMES. TWO OR THREE GROUPS ON ALMOST EVERY TEE, ALMOST EVERY HOLE. LAST TIME HERE FOR ME. WAS NOT A GOOD TIME AT ALL. WHEN YOU GET TO KNOW THE NAMES OF THE PEOPLE IN THE FOURSOMES AROUND YOU SOMETHING IS WRONG.
.
Played many times and always good. This time stuck behind 4 of the slowest players ever. Over 5 hours. Ranger should of had them pick up their balls and keep pace of play.
Quality course
Great layout, in very good shape.
Pace of play was good for a public course.
Greens rolling good.
Friendly staff
Overall great value
Unplayable Pace
Started 30 minutes after our tee time. Course was over crowded and the pace was unplayable. I understand a slower pace on weekends but there was a 10 minute wait on every hole sometimes with 2 groups waiting in front of us. No ranger in sight to speed up pace. Couldn’t even get a snack after the turn because they closed the shop so early. Condition I could understand because it’s early in season but the tee boxes were a mess. A lot of tee boxes were sloped which has nothing to do with time of year and something they need to remediate. Considering what they charge for a round the tee times should be better spaced with more accountability on pace.
Slow
They need to figure it oat, can’t be playing 9 holes in 3 hours and be forced to replay 1-9 to give ourselves any chance of finishing round
Prob won't be back
Played many a time at mill pond and usually enjoy it. Today was an exception and may not be back it was so bad. It took about 40 minutes to get through the first two holes, while waiting to tee off 3 I called the pro shop to see if they could send a ranger out but nobody answered. The people In front of us had barely teed off when the group in front were walking off the green. (it was a par 5). Only got worse from there, by the time we finished the 4th hole the gps said we were 18 minutes behind pace. Fast forward to 18 and we were 53 minutes behind pace. How is that acceptable? No ranger nobody pushing groups and 53 minutes behind pace? What's the point of posting a pace in that case? No cart girl either. Traps were full of rocks, our group decided to not even play the ball from the trap as to not damage our clubs that's how rocky they were
