Mill Pond Golf Course

I begin with the good, nice people and staff, nice course layout. Fair price for a muni. Great practice facility and putting green.

The bad: pro shop and food facility needs help. The golf course : Holes have close proximity to each other, fairways are not defined, probably the worst bunkers on Long Island. Slow play most of the time. GREENS HOWEVER are always in good shape. Fairways were rutty need work,

I've played two years in the Tuesday morning venue. It gets me out to play consistently. The starters (John and Jack) are the best ever. The course was always in great shape. Pro shop personnel also friendly. Have not used the food concessions.

Although this an excellant course the pace of play would improve if the tee times were a minimum of 10 minutes apart.

I’ve played this course for years. From when it was a 27 hole track. The course is always in great shape and plays challenging each time. Get out and give it a try this season. You won’t be disappointed!

Leagues are running with care and a high level of professionalism.

Course has nice layout. Main complaint is they don't accommodate single golfers, need to be in a pair

My only negative is personal # 16 gets me all the time

Bunkers need help, greens need to be cut, tee boxes were in poor condition. Now that my opinion of maintenance needed has been stated some positives. The course plays fair, terrific driving range, very friendly staff, pace of play is usually very good, price is fair, I like that aeration is usually done in mid to late October, I like when you call the course I usually get a human response, food service and pro shop offerings are only fair.

Cutting the greens would have helped as well

The course was in great shape but the greens were very bumpy. They will be nice this spring.

This time was not so great, a little crowded, but is ok, didn't have to wait too long.

We came a little late, Thanks Jimmy for his kind arrangement, staff should be like him.

Green was in maintenance, wonder why golfnow not shown the sign like before !!!

Overall we always love this golf course.

We showed up for tee time early and the man in the pro shop took our money then told us the greens were aerated and were in ok shape. They were terrible. We went out first as 2 and finished in 2 1/2 hours and we played 2 extra holes then returned cart and the rude and obnoxious bag boy told us we paid for 18 only and gave us a hard time and I told him we paid for greens that weren't aerated and he told us that's not his problem. I told golf now and the apologized and gave us some golf balls. Overall the whole staff was rude and obnoxious.

Greens were recently dressed and were very bumpy. Otherwise course is fine shape and the staff is helpful

Didn’t realize they just aerated the greens however with that said the rest of the course was great pace of play was fantastic.

Love to play links style course...at first it feels I not in the Island...

The round was good. Arrived 20 minutes early and they paired me with 2 local guys right away. Staff seemed to be following us making adjustments to tee boxes etc. Staff did not move from fairway bunker as we teed up on the hole. Found it a little disturbing.

I am reviewing Mill Pond again because it has changed. I have played here five times since July. I played 4 of those rounds on Wednesdays around 11 AM. Out of all of these times I have yet to play a round in under 4-1/2 hours. The course is 6300 yards long. The pace of play is unbearable. Today we left after 2-1/2 hours on hole 10. Unfortunately I believe they are flooding the course with too many people for money with no regard for the golf experience. It is a big disappointment.
