Very open course!
This course is in great shape and is very forgiving if you hit a bad shot.
Value
An awesome value and the availability here is always open. Great twilight times and price. Staff is super friendly and cool.

Good value for money
The course forgives a lot. The first nine holes are extremely spacious. Tees and fairways were in very good condition. The greens were recently aerated (must be sometimes), but a bit bumpy.

Great pace of play and nice greens
this course is a great value, especially compared to other choices anywhere near Fort Myers. The pace of play is under 4 hours, the greens are in great shape, players of any handicap can find a challenge. There is not a lot of water, great for a player working on their game.

Gemessen an den bisher gezahlten Grenn-Fee,auf anderen Plätzen, total überbezahlt. Wie die bisherigen Bewertungen zustande gekommen sind, ist uns ein Rätzel. Völlig eintöniger Platz. Rauf und runter- immer geradeaus. Nicht ein Wasserhindernis. Wir hatten das Gefühl, uns auf einem Anfänger-Course zu befinden. Das Spieltempo war dermassen langsam, das wir die ersten 9 Löcher dann 2 x gespielt haben. Weiter hinter den vor uns spielenden Flights herzutrotteln, hätte uns den Tag gänzlich verdorben.
Hier würden wir nie wieder spielen. Der schlechteste Platz bisher.
Zudem waren wir Greens frisch gelocht. Das war vorher leider nicht avisiert.

Great value
San Carlos is a great course for those seeking minimal hazards. Plenty of room to hit the ball without penalty on most holes. Staff is the nicest around, genuine people.
Reminds me of courses back in the mid-west.

Everything was fine except when we got to the 15th hole with plenty of daylight and staff folks came out and pulled the pins and said that was it !! I couldn’t believe it !! Paid good money to play 18 holes and they said the Club president told them to pull the pins. Totally wrong!!! Had at least 40 minutes of daylight!! They never told us that when we tee off.

San Carlos Golf Club
We had no problem returning the golf cart by 7pm as requested, but we did have a problem with staff coming out to multiple holes and interrupting multiple swings just to remind us to bring back the golf cart by 7pm even though we just started playing a couple holes around 445pm.

Great shape
The course has held up well through the season.
Tee boxes are in great shape as are the greens.
I find it better to be a little short if you miss the greens you can still make a par with a decent chip or 2 good putts.
The greens are rolling true just make sure you get it there on the up hill putts. We had several come up 1 roll short.
The staff as always are super nice.
