Bring Balls!
GREAT COURSE! However if you have a slice be sure to bring balls. The fairways are tight and each hole is independent.. so no retrieving a ball or playing another fairway.. you can just say SEE YA! Instead or FORE! the moment it leaves the tee!
Bachelor Party Outing
Had a great time, Dylan was really helpful setting everything up, put together a group lesson, followed by 9 on the Finn Scooters (a really cool experience that I highly suggest giving a try) and then 9 in a cart with a few frosty beverages. Course was in excellent condition, pace was good as well able to get through in 4 hours. Lesson was with Ryan, he was great. Highly recommend the course, one of the best around.
Challenging
I played here earlier this year and everything was immaculate tee boxes, fairways, and greens. I still love the course but it just wasn’t in premium shape. Few tee boxes needed to recover and one of the greens on the front 9 had two giant scores across the greens someone made with the mower. Overall still great course just found other ones around for less money with comditions.
Fun course, poor management
Teed off at 7am on a Saturday, trying to finish round early. Ranger advised us to get through 9 at around 2 hours. We made the turn in an hour and 45 minutes with 4 golfers. When we get to the 10th tee, there are 2 groups standing at the tee. Apparently on weekends, they start multiple groups on the back 9 to maximize revenue. We sat on the tee for over a half hour. 1 hour 45 minute on the front, close to 3 hours on the back. The ranger had the nerve to drive up to us on 13 and say we were a little behind.
The staff thinks you’re playing at Augusta with how highly they speak of it. It’s a nice Poconos course. Go play Hideaway Hills instead. Cheaper, less crowded and better views.
Overall 3/5
The best Public Course in the Poconos
Got the luxury of playing many of the Public courses in the Pocono area. From Mount Airy to Shawnee and even Split Rock, but Jack Frost National was the favorite.
First you can hit the range and its not off turf or unkept grass, you are able to actually simulate and mimic you golf shot.
Tee boxes in great shape and all of them were pretty even. This is a big pet peeve of mine.
Greens were tough and rolled true.
They get you with the tough pin placements as many greens have multiple undulations.
Fairways and first cuts were good and bunkers had just enough sand in them so you were not hitting off clay or hitting from beach sand
This is a must if you are in the Poconos.

Great course for the money!
My golf partner and I drove to Jack Frost National and we were not disappointed. Great shape! Staff was super friendly! The course was worth the 1.5 hour ride!
Fun layout
Every hole is different in character. I’m a senior and played the appropriate tees and had a blast. This course charges a little more than other area courses. Spend the money, you won’t regret it.
Great course
Very nice and pleasant staff and the course was extremely beautiful. Course has some pretty tough holes but still fine to play for a higher handicap. Highly recommended
This course has horrible staff
I don’t usually write reviews regardless of how good or bad something is, however I was extremely disappointed with this course. We showed up too play for our tee time 25 minutes before we were scheduled. When booking the tee time we had the option too choose a starting tee at the first hole or ninth and we chose the first. However, when we checked in we were told everyone is teeing off from the first hole regardless of what you booked, this caused a huge back up. Additionally, our party of two got paired up with a party of three making us a five person group too play with. There was also no starter controlling who teed off at their specific tee time. When we finally teed off it was 30 minutes later then scheduled causing us too only finish 16 holes instead of the 18 due too the sunset.
