Golfer Reviews
Great course
Very nice and pleasant staff and the course was extremely beautiful. Course has some pretty tough holes but still fine to play for a higher handicap. Highly recommended
This course has horrible staff
I don’t usually write reviews regardless of how good or bad something is, however I was extremely disappointed with this course. We showed up too play for our tee time 25 minutes before we were scheduled. When booking the tee time we had the option too choose a starting tee at the first hole or ninth and we chose the first. However, when we checked in we were told everyone is teeing off from the first hole regardless of what you booked, this caused a huge back up. Additionally, our party of two got paired up with a party of three making us a five person group too play with. There was also no starter controlling who teed off at their specific tee time. When we finally teed off it was 30 minutes later then scheduled causing us too only finish 16 holes instead of the 18 due too the sunset.
First time here and we loved the course even if rained hard the first 3 holes and last 3 holes. Had a great time.
Like the course name
Like the course name the staff is "frosty". From checkin to food.
I have played private courses with friendlier staff.
It is in the middle of no where... so maybe the locals get treated better.
Not worth the $79.00 cost.
More than worth the trip
Apart from greens that were a little on the slow side, and some pin placements which were ridiculous for mere mortals, the course and everything else about the round was equal to or better than courses costing twice as much.
The layout and use of terrain were first rate with resort-style wider fairways and good bunkering. All holes made sense and offered different tests without becoming too frustrating for the average player.
If not for the slow ladies foursomes in front of us for about eight holes, we would have played our twosome in about 3.5 hours.
If you're in the Poconos and want a place to play, this course is good for players at all levels.
Great track, great staff, great condition, great deal
First time playing will be back 100%. Everyone working at Jack Frost was super nice. Even every member of the Grounds crew made sure to stop wave, smile, and say have a great round. Really loved this place. I also liked the merch, if I could find a fitted hat I would have certainly spent some $$ in the pro shop. Great practice facility as well... 10 out of 10, hope to be back soon.
Love this course
course in great shape for the extremely dry conditions....greens a little slower because the greens keeper is a smart man and doesnt want to lose them in this heat wave...in the shop before the round looking at good deals on the golf shirts but dont need them right now...a funky looking shirt and i said you have to be a real player to wear that and one of the guys in the shop makes the comment you could wear that...you look like you can shoot in the 90's....unfortunately i shot 77 from the black tees but felt you need to shoot in the 60's to wear it...i just dont have that game.....pretty sure it will sell it
Excellent round
I am a returning customer. The course was in excellent condition. Staff are friendly. Greens rolled nice. And the fairways are well-kept as well. Best value in the area and will return soon.
Love the course as always but the Pro Shop attendant should be fired.
Over 6,000 Pennsylvanians have died due to Covid-19, yet the pro shop attendant was too ignorant to wear the state-required face mask (all other employees did, even outside).
Challenging & Fun
Greens and fairways were in great shape. People seem to do a pretty good job of fixing pitch marks on the greens. We played in May of 2020 during the pandemic so the touchless cup devices were installed and they worked fine. Staff is awesome and very happy to assist you with all the safety guidlenes in place. Love this course!
