another water hazard, another gator (or cayman). Photo submitted by John1768867 on 03/28/2016
Good course - only experienced half of it!
Overall a really good course. Pace was fantastic, well-kept course with some cool holes. Unfortunately, the front 9 was being seeded and was unplayable, so my 18-hole round was spent playing the back 9 twice through. Staff was very friendly and kind, started right on time and had no issues. Felt that the pricing was a little bit high considering only half the course was open, but I still had a good time and would definitely return.
Eagle ridge
Course in good shape, fun and challenging layout. Read some reviews about to much water that comes into play. Not true. There is water but what Florida doesn’t
Very enjoyable round
Chose this course based on our stay in Ft Myers nearby. Not very busy and after hitting a small bucket into the driving range net (maybe 150 yards deep) we were welcomed to go a bit early. Plenty of water hazards that make holes a bit more narrow, but others opened up with pretty wide fairways.
Staff was nice and the course has a nice variety of challenges. We would return if in the area.
Narrow fairways
Haven’t played the course in years, all I could remember was that it is narrow. Water and or OB guards most holes, but a good tee shot rewards you with a short iron or wedge into most greens. The fairways and greens were soft, so balls were plugging, other than that it was in great condition!
Eagle Ridge
Very nice course with generous fairways guarded by water, water everywhere lol. Greens were just aerated by seem nice. Easy to get to a few minutes west of I75.
Not too shabby
Not too shabby. The cost to place is certainly in line with vacation destination courses. Suggest using GolfNow to get any discount you can. Upon arriving we checked in at pro shop to pay and we needed to rent clubs. The gentleman at the counter was not as courteous and friendly as one would hope. It was our threesomes first time golfing here and first impressions go along way. First. The clubs we rented were taylormade and not bad, however I had a teeny little putter and my sons bag did not have 56° Iron which there’s is plenty of opportunity to use it. As other local courses offer free sleeves of balls and some small gift with rentals, they do not offer anything. Every hole has water. There is a decent amount of blind hikes and there is little info on course or scorecard to help you out. It’s challenging for the average weekend hacker, but very nice layout. I liked it enough that I would go back, but bring my own equipment.
Too Many Water Hazards
The staff was very friendly. The course was very wet due to two days of rain and even the starter mentioned that maybe they should have closed the course. Streams and ponds line the fairway on both sides for at least 15 holes. The added rain caused the reservors to overflow into the fairways, making them even more narrow. Four fairways was cart only and one par 5 was reduced to a par 3 because of the conditions. In spite of the soggy conditions, the fairways and greens are in great shape. As a 20 handicapper, this course ended up changing my whole game, using lower lofted clubs in order to stay in play and sacrifice distance.
This should be a great course for single handicappers but for me, much too challenging. So glad I got a Hot Deal with $10 off. I wouldn't want to pay full price for this course.
Golf
I played today and found the course in pretty good shape. While the holes are narrow and there is a lot of water it was not impossible. Very Hot when I played so not a lot of golfers out but play was good. People at the club, desk and cart area were great. I would and will play this course again.
Nice course
Very nice course for the money. Plays well, some narrow spots make you play it safe. Greens in decent shape, rolled fast. Fringe a little long, added some difficulty around the greens. Overall, challenging course in nice shape
Good course and good value!!
This was our first time playing the course, but really enjoyed it. Not a long course but narrow with lots of water and sand. Would like to have seen better yard markings or even a drawing of the hole on the scorecard. For a new visitor to the course, we were guessing where and how far things were.
Awesome course
Had a wonderful time with my nephew. Great course, great people and awesome value!
Eagle ridge fort Myers
Eagle ridge had a nice layout ,, greens were pretty good ,
The 3 issues were
1) the cart guy was miserable !!!
2) 2 many flooded areas on course
3) 50$ is way 2 much $ for Florida golf in July ,, it's a 35$ course
The guy/ starter was a real nice guy!!! Would play there again
Golf at Eagle Ridge
Course was fun and in good condition. some hole were difficult to figure out but fun
OK Course
Played holiday afternoon and noone was on the course. Finished in less than 3 hours. Could have been faster but cart only went about 5mph. Strange. 6,000 yd white tees seemed shorter. A couple short par 4s and only one longer one. I think they moved some tees up without changing scorecard. Happens at a lot of courses it seems. Lots of water in play if you miss a shot. Greens were way too fast. Need to be watered or something. Not worth $60 this time of year but afternoon $45 rate is OK. Also, put the ball washers back out. The pandemic is over.
Good layout
Big improvement on the condition of the course. Fairly challenging with many water hazards. Some holes require precision shots to avoid a bad score. With fair prices off season it is a must play course!
