Ridge/Trail at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club
About
There are 27 holes of championship golf available at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club. They are divided into three nines, naturally named Blue, Ridge and Trail, that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The holes have an advantageous setting amidst mountains and trees, offering both privacy and scenery. The setting is made even more peacefully secluded by the fact that there are no parallel fairways throughout the entire golf course. The holes were carefully carved from the forests and hillsides, providing each nine with a different character. With four water holes, the Ridge/Trail combination has the most water of any of the courses. There are also strategically placed bunkers throughout but the towering, mature trees present the most formidable challenges. The course starts off rather gently with the player-friendly Ridge, but becomes progressively more difficult on the back nine.

Early season golf…
Great day at Blue Ridge Trails. First time at this course, played the Blue and the Trails. Fairways in great shape, tee boxes were excellent, even for April. The greens need warm weather to grow, i plan to play it again july-aug to see the greens. Friendly staff, started ahead of scheduled time, some slow play ahead made for a long day. Definitely a great course to play, will visit again.
Bluebear
Very nice course and great layout. Very good value for the money. Will be back
Fun to play!
Great layout, all holes very playable, sand traps were in good shape for April, greens need warm weather to grow but good for April, gps in carts worked great, cart paths in excellent shape, and tee boxes were good. Definitely going back again.
Great Course
Great condition this early in the season. Air rated greens but green keeper must know what he is doing. Always great playing here and meeting local true Americans who truly love this country
Greens aerated
Two of the three nines have been aerated. Greens that have not been aerated are very inconsistent speed wise. Second time I’ve played here this spring and this is becoming a trend. Layout is awesome and price is right!
Great Day!
Played last year enroute to Canada and will be back next year.
Paired with great father and son duo and thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful day. Extremely great value, as well.
Also enjoyed chats with Tony and Sarah in the Pro Shop!
27 hole facility worth playing
Blue Ridge Trail (BRT) is a 90 minute ride for me. It's worth the car time once or twice a year for me to play here. It's a pretty golf course with a good layout. Long hitters won't be challenged at BRT but the average hacker will find ample amounts. Greens were aerated 3 weeks before I played and they had healed
nicely. You can tell the owner takes pride in maintaining the course to a high standards. Enjoyable to play.
Gem in Central PA
I live on the west coast of NJ and believe it or not, there are an abundance of golf courses within a hour's drive. The Blue ridge Trail is about a 90 minute drive on 80. How does a course amass such a high rating in the wilds of PA? BRT is a SPECTACULAR golf facility. Grass practice facility and a modest clubhouse but over delivers on GOLF. I didn't get to play the 3rd nine, Trail, but judging by Ridge and Blue, it no doubt will exceed expectations. The ONLY nit I would Pick is the Pace of Play. REALLY slow. 18 took close to 5 hours. No good with Standard-time prevailing. Good thing I cleared my calendar and enjoyed a perfect Fall day.
Course to myself
A drizzly fall day meant that I had the course to myself. Nice layout and great conditions for early November
Great layout decentconditions for November golf in NE Pennsylvania.
A little wet. Two holes were closed to cart traffic. Greens had not filled in completely from aeration. Some leaves to deal with in the rough. Still a great bargain and superb layout.
Pace of play
Pace of play must be monitored closer. A threesome was holding up 3 foursomes.
