Golfer Reviews
Overall layout is good. I like how it’s mostly wide open fairways, wish the golf carts were a little more up to date
Can't Beat it for the .oney
All around a good value. Coarse is in overall good
condition from tees, to fairways, to greens. Alot of play,
but pace of play was good.
Good Not Great.
I played it for the first time, and it made me surprised by all the five star reviews. I love that they’re no houses around and the holes are pretty interesting, but the tee boxes are not in very good shape… they are nice and flat, but lots of divots and bare spots. The most surprising was the Fairways… lots of the areas are very nice with lots of grass, but there are quite a few spots that are in need of more grass. I was told that it’s because there’s been so much rain down here that the water killed the grass…I mean it was fine. I just played winter rules everywhere in the fairways and in the rough. And the greens held nicely and did not have a lot of ball marks and were smooth though slow which I don’t mind. I’d rather have them slow and smooth then ridiculously fast and smooth… so all in all a good time, but not a great time. I played seven courses in four days on my trip down And I would say Fairwinds would be in the middle of the pack behind the Florida club, Lost lake, and hammock Creek. And as you can probably guess the three courses I just mentioned cost almost twice as much as Fairwinds so who knows maybe I should have Fairwinds closer to the top because of the great deal.
