Try it- a Hackett gem!
It was a beautiful morning. All of a sudden a two ball appeared on no 6. Maybe they had just woken up and felt the urge to continue their round. It has always amazed me at Ballina how golfers pop out in front of you anywhere on the course. Maybe it’s a tradition to start your round of golf wherever you want too.
Anyway I always enjoy playing Ballina.

Pleasant surprise
This is an Eddie Hackett designed course and it's brilliant to see the course is being looked after. Fairways and greens were in good shape as well as bunkers. Greens were running fast. The par 5s are outstanding

typical parkland course
A very typical parkland course, nothing that really sticks in the mind... thanks to the two nice members who took me round, not so many thanks for the complete lack of a shout, and a ball hitting me on the shoulder.

Ballina golf club
Eddie was extremely friendly and helpful. Course was surprisingly dry. Par 4s were long. Overall it was very enjoyable experience.

I had not played Ballina in a couple of years but went out yesterday and was pleasantly surprised Fairways and greens were in great shape. Greens were fast The par 5s are outstanding! Keep up the good work.
