Fun Course
This was a fun course. Tee to green it was in real good shape. A few rough patches on the green but not many. Greens were slow but rolled very well.
I was only able to play the front 9 because of rain but it was a great place and the course was in very good condition.
Excellent outing
As always-I enjoyed playing Blackberry Trail! I wish this course was closer to my home. However, whenever I venture to take the 90 minute drive, it’s always worthwhile! Excellent golfing experience! I shall return!!
Best fairways I’ve played
Course in great shape, greens are very good, and fairways are near perfect. Look forward to playing again, great value with a hot deal
Very enjoyable course
Really enjoyed the layout. Fairways were nice, greens were a little long due to punch the greens the next day, but they were well maintained. Will definitely play here again. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Worth every dollar yo play.

Pace was awfully slow today
I travel over an hour to get here, and always enjoy Blackberry Trail, as you can see from my precious posts, but today was disappointing. We were a twosome, a group of 5 ahead of us, a 3 some ahead of them, 2 groups of two behind us! Why is there not a Marshall on this course?!?! Very disappointing. It took us over 5 hours to finish!
Nice Course Layout, But Very Wet
Like most of the courses in Northern Alabama, the fairways are too wet right now. I like the layout of the course but would like to play it this spring or summer when the course has dried up. The greens were in good shape, but when you have to play lift/clean/place the entire round, then it's hard to really give a fair review of the course.
Great Municipal Course
I have played Blackberry Trail about a dozen times now. I really enjoy playing there, and recommend it to my friends.
The greens roll true, and have good speed, especially for a municipal course. The fairways are wide, and do not present a difficulty for most holes. There are a couple of holes that have design issues, and those represent the big challenges of the course. On two of the longer par 4 holes, the driving area has significant hazards (creek, tree) especially for average golfers. The length of the hole demands driver, but that bring the hazard into play. I will say that a par on those holes feels outstanding.
The staff is very friendly, and the lady at the food counter makes an excellent hot dog at the turn.
The course was crowded, and we were held by some slow groups ahead of us, but still able to finish in 4:20.
Great value, and will be back!
