Greens, greens, greens, smh!
This course is barely a mile from my home as the crow flys, so, I would LOVE for it to reach its potential. The fairways gf Ave improved tremendously and are really good (when dry). The bunkers are not great but much improved and not bad at all. The tee boxes are also nice but not moved around frequent enough. So, you must be wondering why only 3 stars with all those positive improvements, the greens. This place struggles to keep the greens in the shape required for good golf. A great drive, approach, and even a perfect putt can and will be eliminated more than once a round. It is also overpriced for a city operated public course. Honestly, it needs at least a $10-15 reduction in greens fees. However, if they ever get those greens right and continue to improve on the course as they have been, it will be a great little course!
Good outing
Slow play because a foursome ahead of us were playing out of three bags and although I complained and the pros shop brought them a rental, they did not use it. The fairways were extremely wet and wedges were always stuck in the ground and poor shots resulted.
Excellent round
As always-my 75 minute commute to play here was rewarded by an excellent round of golf!
Blackberry Trail Golf Course
First time playing here. Blackberry has a private GC feel….sand, water, soft greens. It would be great if I knew some local knowledge of the course b/c there was hazards where I couldn’t see hazards. Few of the greens were in repair in areas. Have to put in in the fairway to score low. Definitely have to be smart about club selection b/c there are some holes where you need to use <driver!! Really fun course. Played from the blue tees. #12 has thick rough, scored a dbl bogey because I lost a ball in the rough, which wasn’t far from the thin stuff!!
Get you some Blackberry.

Course has improved a lot since the last time that I played this course. Most of the greens have improved dramatically except numbers 2 and 7. I also commend the course for continuing to enforce Covid restrictions. It is just not that hard to be considerate of other people.
