Golfer Reviews
Beautiful
After the dense fog lifted on the 4th you could actually appreciate how beautiful this course is. Such a relaxing environment to play a challenging course. Enjoyed every minute of the round. Will definitely be back.
Challenging and In Great Shape
Played this weekend for the first time at Iron Valley in over 5 years. The course was in fabulous shape and the staff could not be nicer and more friendly. Highly recommend this course to be put into your rotation!
A top 5 in my book
I've played for over 30 yrs. All over Pennsylvania new jersey and Delaware.
Lived in myrtle for 7 yrs. This course is absolutely stunning! A great test of your game. It's 3 courses in one. Great views from almost every hole. Staff, course, carts and clubhouse are outstanding. I drive 93 miles just to play this course. Great cheeseburgers and the young lady who works the snack bar is top notch fast and pleasant. Great course, parking lot is very nice and the driving range is one of a kind, crazy cool...
great course!
the course was great but they kept canceling my golfnow reservation. first time I wasn't on the tee sheet and the second I was. it was weird. also their range was closed but no notice on GN or their own website.
loved the course was fantastic and beautiful. played in less than 4 hours and greens were great and pure.
What a course!
The layout is cool with no two holes alike. Some are completely there for the taking, while others you have to sit back on. It plays a bit easier than other PB Dye courses I’ve played, but don’t let that be a deterrent, this course is a blast. Looking forward to getting back out there in the summer when the leaves are on the trees and in the fall when they change color.
Add this course to your list
One of my favorite public courses to play within Bucks, Berks, Lebanon, and Lancaster County. Following a week of heavy rains and being early in the year, the course is in good condition, and I can only expect it will improve throughout the spring and summer based on rounds played last year. Well worth the 1-1/2 hour drive to play a great course at a fair price.
Well maintained, even in winter.
It's still technically winter so grass was brown. There was repairs being performed and a lot of improvements being made. It was still playable with work ongoing. some paved areas on the cart paths need attention but I can see some patches were repaired from last season already. I love the course layout and the undulating fairways
Can Never Go Wrong at Iron Valley
Have been playing this course for over a decade and cant think of a single issue I've run into(outside of fog). It is always in great shape, greens run smooth & challenging enough to keep you on your toes.
Tips: Stay out of the rough. You don't need driver on some par 4s.
If you are looking for a great course that is appropriately priced Iron Valley is the course for you.
Awesome layout. Greens had been plugged and sanded, but I understand it is necessary to ensure proper green health so I am fine with it.
One Heck of a Golf Course!!
I live in Jackson, TN, and my home course is Bent Tree Golf course. It is a challenging, hilly, links style course. We always say that if you can play at Bent Tree, then you can play anywhere. Well I met my match. Iron Valley is an amazing course. Very hilly, challenging, and picturesque. The greens were in amazing shape, as well as, the fairways. The terrain and elevation changes will give you a run for your money. I can’t wait to come back and play the course again now that I have played and know how the course should be played. Pete Dye really taught his son how to build a golf course.
Nice conditions, odd layout
Reviews had said great things about this course, so I was excited to drive from Maryland to check it out. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Other P.B Dye courses I’ve played have not been nearly as forced as this course. The Par 5s were especially poor with blind shots, narrow fairways and huge elevation changes. It’s just a poor layout. I think a lot of it has to do with the crazy topography. Other than that, the conditions were great with nicely rolling greens, good fairways, and a nice grass range. The staff were also friendly.
Greens, fairway’s, & boxes were in great condition…No cart person.
exquisite course
whether you are near or far, this course is beautiful and offers a challenge. Up or down, dog legs left or right, and island greens: this course is one to remember and enjoy with a group.
We apologize for the disappointment you experienced during your visit to our golf course. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as we continue to improve our course layout. Thank you for acknowledging the good conditions and friendly staff.
