live on the course, new owners over the last few years,
old owners almost left the course in ruins, by the end of the 2014 season and starting 2015 season, i believe this course will be back to the level when it opened, new owners are doing a great job, this will be the best course to play by the end of the 2015 season for the price. Few bunkers still to replace, when that gets done, course will be the best around,guaranteed!!!!!!!
Gateway come back!
Nice to see ownership putting money into course. Greens best i've seen there in years and also like the new sand put in on all green side bunkers, Course is shaping up nice, can't wait to play it again. Just hope they keep there prices reasonable($35-$45) and don't price themselves almost out of business again. Keep up the good work and if you haven't played Gateway in awhile, give it another shot.
Good value for the course
Not a ton of hazard, but has some legnth. The larger greens can be tricky, but true.
this course has come back
The last time I played this course it was in very bad shape and the pace of play was very slow. But now the course is in excellent course and there wasn't that many people on the course when we teed off. I prefer to play in the morning time you get a better rhythm when you go off early in the Morning and there is nobody pushing you along.
Good Course
First Time playing this course. I have always been told that this course was very difficult. I did not think it was overly difficult but it did have some challenges. I shot one of my best rounds here. The course does have houses close to the fairways so if you dont hit the ball fairly straight you might be in someones back yard. I enjoyed playing it and will be back again.
Great improvement over last year
I had played there last year and the greens were terrible , Nobody fixes their ball mark , this time around the greens were in very good shape as were the bunkers . The bunkers had a great improvement over last years , when they looked like a war zone
Loveing the new Managment
Just cant wait to see all the improvements take hold this year. They have put a lot of work into this course in the last year. The course was not taken care of and was very disappointed of the lack of care for such a great layout. Was so happy to hear and see this last years improvements. Keep up the great Job.
Great value for the money
This is a very good course, it was in excellent condition especially considering the harsh winter. I would recommend it to anyone as it has something for all golfers.
Fun course to play
Fairways in great conditions. Greens were fast and true. Bunkers were being redone by the new owners and the new ones were great to hit out of. Should be in 5 star shape next year. It takes time to fix a course that has been let go.
Good course
Course was good, very wide open, could use some maintenance, wasn't in great shape....greens were beat up.

Decent course for the money if you have a coupon. Couldn't believe a regular hot dog was $3.00.
Nice layout
Nice course but, there were some bunkers under construction.
Nice urban layout close to the airport
Definitely a neighborhood course, the design is really nice but the maintenance could be improved, quite a few challenging holes, low airplanes flying from the airport, but some easy to maintain things like the bunkers were in terrible conditions, also the day I went the course was over booked, it took me 15 minutes to tee off the 1st hole. The houses are a bit to close for comfortable shots. But over all is pretty good course. Hole 5 was my favorite.
NEED MORE RANGERS WORKING ON THE COURSE NOT IN THE PARKING LOT!
Course was in good shape, I enjoyed everything excepted pace of play. They need more rangers montoring people to allow the faster players to play through.
Level tee boxes and easy yardage plates in the fairways to determine distance between shots.
This golf course has a good drainage system. It had rained well the night before and the course soaked it up very well. Only a few low spots that had some light puddles. Greens were receptive and good speed running around 9 to 10 on the stimpmeter...depending on way your were on the greens. Fairways clean cut and noticable. Tough course from the back tees and while the winds gust over 15-20mph! The only downside is that its very close to DTW Airport and could be noise distraction for many golfers.

Traps have not been touched, btite on greens and NO drinking water
course could be good
I have played this course for over 10 years. new owners now, but still same slow play and nothing done about. the course needs improvement every where. it could be much better, it was years ago
