The 18th green looking over the practice green and beautiful Tray Lake. What a location for the home hole. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

View of the 10th tee box from the banquet patio. One of the toughest tee shots on the course from the blues. A 180 yard carry to the start of the fairway with water left, and out of bounds right. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

Looking Down the 14th Fairway of Beacon Hill after an afternoon rain Photo submitted by null on 05/22/2015
Blind shots galore!
Too many blind shots that affect pace of play and very narrow depth greens!
Beacon Hill is a Challenge!
Beacon Hill was probably fantastic at one time, but the maintenance is in need of work.
The cart paths are mostly dirt and the paved parts are in need of repair, but the course itself was in good shape and the sand traps and bunkers were pretty well maintained.
The carts themselves are newer , electric types, but no ball/club washers attached.
The ball washers themselves were mostly devoid of water.
I would still recommend this course due to its layout and challenge, with a 130 slope rating from the white, which plays under 6,000 yards.
Many blind or partially blind shots with marsh on many of the layouts. Overall, for the money a good deal! No cart girls and I played on a Friday afternoon.
Extremely Slow Play
This course has plenty of water and hazards that you need to go over. Unfortunately, they were very inexperienced and poor Golfers in front of me and it took an incredibly long time to play 18 holes. This is way too difficult, of course for poor players as there is enormous amounts of water and hazards to go over and around.
Play This Course
Beacon is a plus course. Excellently maintained. And an incredible value.
Great early round
Course was in good shape considering we are fresh out of winter. Tee boxes could use some love but the greens and fairways were in pretty good shape
Great value
Course was in excellent shape for mid-November. Some target golf holes but definitely would play here again, the price was very reasonable compared to some other courses this time of year.
Lots of Blinds Shots
If you have never played this course before I would recommend plying it with someone who has.
A Challenging Course with Great Potential.
I had not played at a Beacon Hill for a decade. I only recognized a couple holes. This course has great potential but needs repair. Bunkers were terrible, some of the cart paths are like wash boards and there were several shots over marshes where you could not see the target because of overgrown vegetation. But the tees, greens and fairways were in great shape. From the blue tees there are several holes where one must drive the ball over 200 yards to reach fairway so bring your “A” game. This is a course that requires your best planning and attention. Stray shots will result in lost balls. But I had a great time playing this course and I plan to return soon.
Good course
It was first time to play here.
Pace was really smooth fortunately, despite it was Sunday AM.
Good course layout, no problem at all if you use Apps.
It’s true the fairway and the yards are close, but if you use the app to check the layout while playing, it’s no different from an ordinary course in a subdivision.
Excellent course
This course is great. I am not a fan of courses with houses on it but this one is laid out so you would almost have to try and hit one on purpose. I am a high handicap golfer with control problems and I felt just fine here. Greens are fast but sticky. Overall this course is excellent. I drove over an hour to play and will do it again
Not a good day on the course
Didn't start out well and got worse. Arrived a 75 minutes before tee time to hit some range balls, chip, and putt. Find out there is no range in use because it cost too much to pay someone to fetch balls from the pond you apparently hit into. So putted and no place to chip. As for the course, for some reason it seems no one fixed their ball marks on the greens. Looked like the local high school had football practice on the greens. Other complaint is there are too many blind shots off the tee or into the greens. Tough to play for the first time without having someone with you that knows the course. Didn't have that. Pace of play was good until last 5 holes. Had to skip a hole to get ahead of a slow 4-someone. By then the round was pretty much a write off. Greens are tough, but fair. Were not as fast as the practice green - so that didn't help. Blues played 6,093 with a 136 slope - so that should tell you enough about how "tricky" the course can be without knowledge of the course. Score was high enough to not be in my handicap best 10 of last 20. Not sure I would play it again. Maybe - just to prove I could score better than a 95 with two quads and a triple for a 13 handicap.
