The 18th green looking over the practice green and beautiful Tray Lake. What a location for the home hole. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

A Challenging Course with Great Potential.
I had not played at a Beacon Hill for a decade. I only recognized a couple holes. This course has great potential but needs repair. Bunkers were terrible, some of the cart paths are like wash boards and there were several shots over marshes where you could not see the target because of overgrown vegetation. But the tees, greens and fairways were in great shape. From the blue tees there are several holes where one must drive the ball over 200 yards to reach fairway so bring your “A” game. This is a course that requires your best planning and attention. Stray shots will result in lost balls. But I had a great time playing this course and I plan to return soon.
Good course
It was first time to play here.
Pace was really smooth fortunately, despite it was Sunday AM.
Good course layout, no problem at all if you use Apps.
It’s true the fairway and the yards are close, but if you use the app to check the layout while playing, it’s no different from an ordinary course in a subdivision.
Excellent course
This course is great. I am not a fan of courses with houses on it but this one is laid out so you would almost have to try and hit one on purpose. I am a high handicap golfer with control problems and I felt just fine here. Greens are fast but sticky. Overall this course is excellent. I drove over an hour to play and will do it again
Not a good day on the course
Didn't start out well and got worse. Arrived a 75 minutes before tee time to hit some range balls, chip, and putt. Find out there is no range in use because it cost too much to pay someone to fetch balls from the pond you apparently hit into. So putted and no place to chip. As for the course, for some reason it seems no one fixed their ball marks on the greens. Looked like the local high school had football practice on the greens. Other complaint is there are too many blind shots off the tee or into the greens. Tough to play for the first time without having someone with you that knows the course. Didn't have that. Pace of play was good until last 5 holes. Had to skip a hole to get ahead of a slow 4-someone. By then the round was pretty much a write off. Greens are tough, but fair. Were not as fast as the practice green - so that didn't help. Blues played 6,093 with a 136 slope - so that should tell you enough about how "tricky" the course can be without knowledge of the course. Score was high enough to not be in my handicap best 10 of last 20. Not sure I would play it again. Maybe - just to prove I could score better than a 95 with two quads and a triple for a 13 handicap.
Deceiving Course
I was excited to play this "Championship" style course for the first time, but was sadly deceived.
This course was seemingly once a beautiful, challenging, and unique course.
Now is just a tight winding bumpy cart path through an endless new house development, plus some small ponds. Multiple holes that play directly under High Voltage power lines, and actually blocked a couple approach shots for me which was interesting but annoying to say the least. Multiple tee shots that made me extremely nervous to take on, as there were people just mowing their lawns or in their backyard directly in the line of fire. Small dogs, windows, cars etc. There were a couple holes on the back 9 that were pretty and cool to play, and overall The fairways and greens are in good condition ( very small greens) but tee boxes are completely neglected and trashed. Also the starter gave me grief for booking a single tee time on a Saturday.... To which I replied, well y'all sold me the time 😆 unbelievable... The course over all left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm honestly surprised it's still up and running. Not sure who would play this course again after playing just once.
Great value
Pace of play was excellent and the staff was friendly. The greens were in great condition as well as the rest of the course. A couple of tee boxes could use some help but nothing detrimental to the overall experience. Would play there again!
The best bang for the buck
The fairways are in excellent shape. The greens are in great shape. The sand traps are also in great shape.
You cannot beat the value of this course.
Nice course
Nice course
Must play course in Oakland County, Michigan
Great course and value
Overall the course was in great condition. The greens were very well maintained. The staff were friendly. My only complaint is some of the bunkers had larger sized rocks. I would definitely play here again.
Father's Day
It was a beautiful day for golf. Got paired up with a Wonderful couple and we enjoyed today. 2 birdies on the card and came within a couple feet of a hole in one. All in all a good day.
