The 18th green looking over the practice green and beautiful Tray Lake. What a location for the home hole. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

View of the 10th tee box from the banquet patio. One of the toughest tee shots on the course from the blues. A 180 yard carry to the start of the fairway with water left, and out of bounds right. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

Early tee to e
Today, I decided to try the course out! Here are some thoughts:
Driving range was a cool set up in which you hit into a lake. There was a small putting/chipping area next to the range as well. Not the best or robust practice area but it gets the job done.
Course itself was in great condition! Greens were soft but rolled true. Fairways were lush. Tee boxes were perfect! (I did tee off from the tips).
The course is built around multiple subdivision so if you tend to spray your ball all over the place, beware. However, there are more rooms than what the eye might see from the tee boxes. A few double dogleg holes which was had be stumped a few times on where to land some shots since I am not familiar with the course.
Played as a single and had no issue with pace of play. Will definitely come back to give it another try for sure!
Nice course and a great day
Everything was very good, only thing I would fix is from the gold tee box on number 18 you can’t see anything, weeds need to be trimmed.
Great Course
Course was it excellent condition; fairways nicely mowed and greens rolled smoothly.
Rain has deteriorated the course
Good place to golf, but needs cart path updates, very bumpy.
Worst course layout I’ve ever played
The owners of this course should get a refund from the designer of the course. Every hole on this course has an abysmal line of sight to the flag so most of the time you have no idea where to hit your ball. Even if you have a decent elevation, there’s trees and hills on the inside of the hole cutting off your sight. Aside from that, it looks like gorgeous place to have a wedding.
Typical residence club
Course is designed in the residence area. Too close to play near the houses.
Why?
Confused how this course could have over 4 stars. I had an awful experience a the course let off people on a normal tee sheet while having an outing causing 30 minute holes (also had a 5-some of really bad golfers in front of me). Despite that experience the course was in awful condition, standing water everywhere (it hasn’t rained in a week). Dry patches, beat up greens, tee boxes might be the worst I’ve seen this year. The layout is extremely bland the greens are slow, I’ve played 30+ courses in Michigan this year and this one might be the worst. Nothing good about it! Stay away, play othe courses so many gems in Michigan to waste your time here.
beautiful
I can't wait to play again. the course was challenging, and a beautiful layout. Lots of water, narrow fairways in between and along homefronts, powerline towers, etc. It was a little wet that day but turned out to be beautiful by the time we were done.
Great course lots challenges.women friendly tee boxes.
Will go play again. Thoroughly enjoyed the course. My friends also said it was a very good choice. Thank you golfnow.
Great Value and Layout
Driving range is a negative. Many elevated greens. Have to make tough shots on this course.
First time playing there
Course was in great shape all around. People were very nice s well as a very clean clubhouse and carts. The really the only issue i had was they lay out. Even with the nature look, lakes and ponds i just don't like playing through sub divisions or teeing off 25 feet from someones house. ( that's my own preference and course not to blame) Or worst worry when a slight slice or hook ends up in someones backyard or goes into the direction of someone's windows. Not the houses fault i hit a bad ball, but it is something i would rather not worry about when playing. As i said course is nice and in excellent shape but i just do not like playing alongside and between homes. Would still recommend the course to others.
Nice course
Decent course if you get a hot deal. Course conditions were good. Course layout is quirky with several blind shots on holes & homes close to playing area. We only encountered beverage cart once over 18 holes.
Very fun.
Nestled in a nice peaceful neighborhood, this course is challenging and also fun. We played in the middle of the week and it was wide open. No one to bother you. Corn fields and crystal clear ponds. The greens were very well maintained. Found some deer tracks near a water hazard. If you love the outdoors you’ll love Beacon Hill!
