Kennsington Golf Club

Great layout. You could tell by the amount of footprints on the greens that this course gets heavy play. We started on back nine due to leagues starting later. Mark at the pro shop was very helpful. Ran into a SIXSOME playing a scramble on the back. They wisely split up when they headed to the clubhouse. Course had plenty of staff on hand, can’t understand why no one bothered to split these guys up. As a twosome, we played the back nine in an hour and forty minutes, took almost three hours on the front.

It rained during the morning before and the next afternoon played terrible. A lot of standing water. The course was also way too busy. We waited 10-15 minutes to tee off on every single hole. It started pouring after the first 9 holes and since we paid for 18, we thought we could get a raincheck for the back which is no problem anywhere else. The older man in the pro shop said there's no such thing as a raincheck for Kensington. Needless to say we ate dinner elsewhere and wont be back. $50 for 18 can be spent at much nicer courses in the area with a more friendly and welcoming staff.

This is one of the nicest courses around. The layout fits the terrain to a tee. The fairways are well maintained and the greens are manicured.nicely . Too bad the lazy slobs can't fix the divots. The only drawback we had had was slow play. There was an obese man playing in front of us. He drove the carts close to the greens and then took forever to play but it was a great day on the course. I highly recommend you play this course!

The pro shop employee was very ignorant, told us there's no such thing as a rain check, and refused to understand that the course was under water. The place wasn't busy as we had an 11:30 tee time on a Wednesday. We payed for 18 and after 8 holes it started down pouring. We finished the front 9 and didnt want to continue on with all the standing water and rain wasnt letting up. He said they dont offer rainchecks no matter what. Very unprofessional for the upstanding course this is supposed to be for our area. We were going to eat dinner there after but quickly changed our minds. Never again. Id rather play the avalon courses instead

Course was beautiful and well-groomed. Was a little wet and muddy but they had a lot of rain recently Greens were rolling pure! That is where our enjoyment ended. The course was more crowded than normal and IMO the course staff was not prepared for the business they had. It took us almost SIX hours to play. There were only three of us and we don't play slowly. My wife and I normally play in three hours or so. I can't say we will ever be back. I cannot justify 6 hours for a round during the week. We played at 12:10 pm. Sorry for the bad review, we really like the course. 😔

Course was very wet from recent rains; lots of mud balls. Several blind shots where you have to check the group in front being out of range. On cart GPS shows cart in front on some holes which helps. Don’t recall seeing any drinking water on the course; so, take your canteen! Lots of unfilled/unreplaced divots. Consider playing the ball improved lies in fairways. Wet rough very hard to get much distance. Overall, a good golfing experience.

Kennsington has great drainage, always cut well, fun holes, good bunkers, great course highly recommend!

From the moment you show up and see the golfer statue and the pretty pro shop and the gorgeous bar/restaurant, you know you are going to enjoy your day. The course is beautiful, the carts and new and luxurious with the finest full screen GPS system. A fabulous "at the turn" snack bar, nicely priced and lots to get. Course has the largest putting greens you'll every see. I think all 18 greens are the size of Rhode Island.

Probably the best layout I’ve ever played, not one hole close to copying another.enormous greens. Now the bad! This could be corrected very easily by hiring a landscaping company to fix the many small items.such as areas of cart paths needing repair..the senior tee area for the 15th hole has been torn up all year. 4 guys with rakes could fix this in a days work. I do love this course ,but need to learn a lesson from the course down the street Mill Creek GC.the muny course for Youngstown . Not a unsodded spot on this 36 hole course. Kennsington is supposed to be a destination course with hotels all around it. ACT LIKE IT!!!

From the moment you arrive you know you have found a classy operation. The course did not disappoint. great condition, perfect greens. Biggest greens I have ever seen in my golfing life, the size of Rhode Island, I'd say, LOL. Fabulous huge bar to hang out after the round. Great carts and GPS system on them. Wonderful snack bar ground level at the turn.

Frustrating experience. Had a tee time for 6:30 only to find three groups of walk-ons lined up at the tee box. Tried to start at the back 9, but a group of three guys turned the corner and insisted they were up next. I obliged, and as there is never a starter to direct traffic, decided to tee off after them. Their pace of play was atrocious, and of course there are no employees around to enforce or even suggest to keep pace. This is just a poorly managed facility.

Very nice layout and very well taken care of! Greens were tough putting, deceptive fast and breaking! Had to hit center of hole to drop or it just rolls over lip! Overall had a great time playing!

Hotdog 🌭 was overpriced and bun was stale.
