Kennsington Golf Club

Have been hearing about this course for a number of years, but since it's a little over an hour's drive from home, I never took the time. My loss.

Kennsington is a well-maintained, well-thought-out course that made me hit everything in my bag at least once. We played about a week after the greens had been aerated so I can't really assess their speed and condition on-season but they seemed to be a reasonable challenge.

Being what might be the really last day of the season the course became crowded later in the day and the pace of play bogged down on the back 9.

I really liked the experience here and I'll be back.

Love playing this course. One of my favorites in the area. But every time i play there we get treated so bad. So I'm always at ends whether to play there or not. I always want to play there but know I'm going to be treated like a 3 old. Had a 1:50 tee time playing with my son. Was told they didn't have a starter. Came to tee box and there were three other group waiting. I overhead a guy in the group in front of us that they were 20 min early. They asked what time my tee time was and when i said now 1:50 he said well they have a 8 some and they're playing skins and greenies so they got the go ahead to tee off. That's not how it works buddy!! There was another twosome behind us they jumped as well so we just joined up. Needless to say they teed off and held us up the entire front 9. We waitied every shot and on every tee box. Weather came in on 9 and it started raining thunder and lightning. So my son and i decided to go in a get a rain check because i wasn't going to stand in rain waiting on these other 2 groups. When i got in to the clubhouse i was told they don't give rain checks unless they close the course. I explained the situation and the guy at the counter John basically said oh well. Needless to say there were tornadoes and flooding in the Boardman Canfield area right after we left. You can't tell me they didn't close the course. For some reason they think they're a County Club. Again. Love the course but hate paying the money and getting treated so bad evertime we go there. Wish they had better people working the counter John!

Always like playing here using GolfNow to book my Tee Time. Course was in great shape. People playing are kind and considerate. Pace of play is usually fast. Today's round was 3 hours.

Beautiful course! Extremely well conditioned. Greens perfect, but a bit quick. Only criticism would be for first time players, there’s a number of blind shots and the GPS does help, but often had to go forward to take a look and be sure the group in front was out of range. Lots of penalty areas. Must be a real “Bear” from the back tees. Price was very reasonable. Lovely homes align the course property.

Always enjoy playing Kensington. Course is always in excellent shape. Pace of play is fast. I like all the homes along fairways . Feels like you are playing at a"stadium" course.

There was a group of 16 in front of us… terrible planning by the course, we couldn’t even play the back (which we paid for).

Waiting 20-30 minutes to tee off every hole at one point there were 3 groups lined up to tee off that is absolutely uncalled for. No starter or Marshall did anything about despite 4 groups calling into the club house. Course wasn’t in good condition at all as well. Either swampy areas or areas were like concrete. Was not impressed at all.

Always like playing here. Friendly staff and golfers. Played here several times in 3 hours. Many nice homes along fairways give course character. It is great having 2 other nice golf courses nearby to take some pressure off Kensington.
