Westchester Golf Course
About
Westchester Golf Course is known for its playability, which is further enhanced by five sets of tees that accommodate all skill levels. There are six lakes throughout the course and numerous waste areas filled with wildflowers and native grasses but sand is a more prominent element of the design. There are more than 75 bunkers treacherously lurking beside the greens and fairways. Golfers who manage to avoid the bunkers will find that a good score can definitely be attained thanks to generously sized fairways and only mild undulation in the greens. Although it is seemingly difficult, the layout is more approachable than it looks although it does require straight, accurate shots and a bit of strategy. In addition to the course, Westchester G.C. also offers an expansive practice range and putting green.

the course was maintained good as expected.
Driving range was ok and overall fairways looked good and maintained well. Green may need to be rolled to even.
A couple of holes were challenging and skillfully playable.
Fun courses for an average golfer
Pace of play really ruined the day. Not necessarily the course manager's fault, but I did complain at the turn about the idiots in front of us who wouldn't let us play through and he didn't take any action to alleviate the situation.
Great value for the money.
Well maintained course, nice and friendly staff, and a weekend round under $20 you just cant beat it.
Will Play Again!!!
This was the first time I played the course. I found the Black Tees very challenging. The holes are long and require driver for my distances as well as accuracy to hit the fairways. I saw many reviews complaining about the bunkers. I can't say if they were bad or not due to the fact of rainy conditions which made them packed down. The club house is a "trailer" which is a turn off, but they have done a great job with the course. Will play again!!!
Great value for a fun course.
Fairly well maintained. Bunkers were horrible though; needed a lot more sand.
Great layout and conditions.
Have been out here several times and it is always well maintained. The greens are in good shape with a not too challenging pace which is nice. Front nine winds through a nice housing development and some of the holes are in close proximity. The back nine is much more secluded. Layout is fun and prefers accuracy over distance.
Great course and friendly staff
Scheduled tee time same day and found the staff very welcoming and friendly. Course is very well maintained with many challenges that require you to use most of the clubs in your bag. Don't let the lack of a fancy clubhouse discourage you. The club puts their money into maintaining the course.
Great greens and fairways
This course is like a tale of two nines. The front runs through a community, so it is, in my opinion, not really as nice as the back.
This one would not be easily walked, as the holes have a good bit of separation on several of them.
A Great Value course
I like the course overall, some hard holes some easy. The GolfNow price made this an even better day.
nice layout, greens need work
Nice mix of partially wooded fairways, water, and holes that border a creek. When you step up to any tee you are presented with something new every time. The greens would be nice if it weren't for all the unrepaired ball marks.
Well designed course
Wonderful course in Canal Winchester. Plenty of hazards to avoid. Lots of water and tons of bunkers. Excellent views also.
Phoenix
Great course in great shape. Wish greens were faster like the used to be.
The course has a good mixture of hard and easy holes.
We played the course in about 3 and a half hours. The course was in good shape, and I like the bent grass fairways. While I was able to get out of the bunkers fairly easily, they need some work, they are dirt not sand. I like Westchester's mix of hard and easy holes and will go back there again and again.
Interesting layout, decently maintained, but not great experience
I enjoyed the course. Fairly tight with lots of heather grass. Used irons off most tees and still didn't hit more than 7 iron into a par-4. The par-3's are challenging.
Course was in decent shape, especially considering the amount of rain we've had over the past few weeks. The staff was less than pleasant, the starter really did not know what was going on at times, and we were told we needed to hurry because an outing was about to tee off.
Course mostly OK
Sand traps are the worst I have ever seen. It is like hitting of concrete.
Clubhouse is still a trailer, after 20 years.
Otherwise Course is OK.
Needs some TLC
Greens were slow and shaggy. You'd see a break and it would never take it. The bunkers were unplayable. Tee boxes were hacked up and shaggy as well.
I enjoy weschester
I think the afternoon staff need to take a course in customer service. I got my first hole-in-one on hole #2 on july 4th. when I told the guy working he could care less. we left because of the rain and got a raincheck. then later that day we returned to use our raincheck when the weather got better and the same guy acted mad because he had to stay there and work. not very friendly at all
Nice course with a lot of scenic, wildlife areas
We often play at places where we get the early tee times to play a much quicker round of golf. We were met with a backup on the turn as they sent us off the front and then changed others to beginning off the back. Played front in 1.5 hours and took 2.5 to play the back. A very wet, rainy day made the course play much tougher and longer.
Fair layout
Wide fairways, accessible par threes, and well maintained.
Great course!
Had been wanting to try it out for years and when I finally did I was upset I hadn't gone way before now! Great scenic course, was very well maintained and a good challenging course. The range officer greeted us at #1 and was phenomenal, very pleasant and gave us an excellent run down of the courses challenges and highlights. Can't wait to plat it again.
