Westchester Golf Course
About
Westchester Golf Course is known for its playability, which is further enhanced by five sets of tees that accommodate all skill levels. There are six lakes throughout the course and numerous waste areas filled with wildflowers and native grasses but sand is a more prominent element of the design. There are more than 75 bunkers treacherously lurking beside the greens and fairways. Golfers who manage to avoid the bunkers will find that a good score can definitely be attained thanks to generously sized fairways and only mild undulation in the greens. Although it is seemingly difficult, the layout is more approachable than it looks although it does require straight, accurate shots and a bit of strategy. In addition to the course, Westchester G.C. also offers an expansive practice range and putting green.

Lots of variety. Nice course
A beautiful golf course with lots of variety. Long and short holes, dog legs, straight aways. Excellent course conditions and friendly beverage cart staff. Only issue is the double wide 'clubhouse', but obviously the money ran out for the clubhouse. The front nine winds through an average housing development, while the back nine is a beautiful nature preserve. If you want to play a nice course for reasonable rates, this is your track.
Rude groundskeepers
Followed our group for 6 holes wouldn't turn off tractors or mower had to wait for them?
One of the nice course to play
Play many round here, always very pleasant. Only thing the course need improve is the bunkers, used mixed sand instead of white sand, just too rough to play the rough sand bunkers.
Not worth it
I bought this golf now deal because the course looked great online. Website looked nice and all. Got there to find a dump of a clubhouse with a cafeteria that looked like an afterthought. I went to look for a quick snack to grab before going out on the course and after walking through a swarm of flies I changed my mind. The back 9 (which is where we started) was pretty ugly. Sand traps looked and played like they were just full of dirt from a little league baseball diamond and couldn't take a practice swing without taking up half of the fairway. However, the front 9 was great. I really enjoyed the way the front played. If all 18 were like the front 9 I would be happy to return. I wouldn't pay the $26 I paid to play all 18 again and that was a discounted price. If all 18 were like the front 9 it might be worth it.
hot day in July
Course was in good shape, too much duck on some of the holes. Need to add a lot of sand to the bunkers, there were like concrete to hit out of. Not an easy course if you go right or left alot. Lots of target golf hit into an area. Thick rough and lots of trees. Need to carry wasteland alot.
great fairways traps horrible
Fairways, greens and tees is good to great shape. Sand traps little or no sand. Many marked ground under repair.
Clubhouse isn't flashy but the course is very nice!
Straightforward bent grass tee to green golf course kept well. Fairways are great! Greens are great!! Bunkers are ok but not perfect. Good challenge but more than fair. You can score here.
Happy 4th of July
Course is fun and challenging. Usually slower pace of play. Facilities are reall u holding this course back.
Needs Some Work
Sadly what was once a nice course is turning into a dump. I still enjoy the layout but the course and facility conditions need some serious improvements. Goose waste everywhere, fairways were shaggy and my cart limped around (needed charged). I will say that the staff members were very friendly.
Decent
Outside of the insane amount of divots in the fairways and the foursome in front of me playing slower than anyone I've ever seen, it was a pretty nice course to play. A lot of different challenges and very well placed bunkers.
Pretty Good Course
Nice course for the most part, greens are pretty slow and the bunkers were like concrete. The course played slow which was frustrating - our tee time was pushed back due to people walking up.
I like the course though and would play it again.
Good for developing players
Sand traps are the only issue here (a bit shallow, every bunker could have used a fill of sand). Lots of tall grass makes it easy to lose a ball even just a few yards off the fairway. It did make me as an early learner relax to try and hit accurate shots.
Bad Management
Me and a buddy teed off around 4:20 PM and played the first nine in over 2 hours after consistently waiting on a threesome that was falling back. After making it to ten, the threesome had left and we soon found the course had let a women's league off on the back without telling us. After watching the foursome of women take 20 minutes to get from fairway to green on the par 4 we picked up and left.
beat the rain
first time playing the course and will play again. fairways and greens in good overall shape - "sand-traps" not so much. as matter of fact there is no sand...until filled with sand should be "ground under repair" with a free drop of one club length no nearer the hole. this course would be a bear to walk. recommend a cart for pace of play...coming from someone who typically walks...heed to recommendation
Very enjoyable day on the course
Course was in nice shape. The distance between some holes is very long. It's a pretty ride on the cart, but it would be long to walk this course.
Really like Westchester!
Four of us started at 5pm and cruised around in about 4 hours. It was totally enjoyable and the course was in very good condition. Golfnow.com makes it easy to find a course with open tee times in the late afternoon.
Soggy 18
very poor drainage following rainy few days. soggy, wet, muddy. overpriced for the overall experience. clubhouse is in a 'trailer'. bunkers were ponds. staff was fair at best. won't be back for a while
This course is a challenge
The course was very wet on 4 holes, but the rest of the course was fine. It needs a actual clubhouse and not a double wide trailer though! Greens could be rolled to allow more consistent putting.
fun course
Cold day but course was in good shape.some free standing water on a few holes but didn't come into play. Windy day also made it tough in selecting clubs. Some holes required 2 to 3 clubs adjustment.no. 16 a long dogleg left par 4 can be a tough challenge to reach in 2 into a stiff wind even for a low handicapper.overall I would highly recommend this course.
