South/North Golf Course at The Legends of Massillon

Nice course, played north & east. Pete the starter & pro shop staff very nice, as was food stand. Greens very slow - a big distraction, and traps very rocky. Travel to hole to hole somewhat confusing - need more signage. Lot's of diversity & character in the holes with huge greens, but long distance from cart path to green. Ball washers are in unusual places. Even with that, we would definitely recommend it without hesitation; buy guide if you never played it will make it easier to plan shots.

Upon arrival, things went smooth and the pro shop attendant was very pleasant. The starter wasn't the friendliest person and rather than keeping my with the group I was added to, he sent me off by myself on the 3rd nine. After making the turn, the same starter sent me out between 3-somes apart of a member outing. Still completed the 18 holes in approximately 3.5 hrs. The conditions were far better than I expected. The practice area and range were a nice touch to the experience. I would definitely recommend the course for the layout and conditions alone and for a value of $13 for a 9am on friday.

Staff was friendly and we were able to tee off at our exact tee time with no waiting on any holes. Probably due to the rain but ive never had an issue when golfing at this course. All in all it was a great day and i was even able to put up a score of 73 so i was very pleased.

This is unquestionably the best course for your money in the area. There are 4 courses within 10 minutes of me that aren't nearly as nice and cost a lot more.

Each 9 plays a little differently and has its own challenges. Each 9 is also well maintained. The fairways are smooth, the rough is just deep enough to keep you honest, and the greens (on a hot day in July, anyhow) rolled quick but true.

Because there are 27 holes I've never felt rushed by someone behind me or been at the mercy of someone in front of me.

This course has a tough but interesting layout. Fairways can be tough to hit but the rough is not terribly long. Greens were slow but it had poured before my round. They can also be tricky so you really need to read your putts well. This is one of my favorite courses in the Akron-Canton area.

Golf course is really fun and set up for all levels of golfers

I can’t complain at all. Being able to play for the deal I got was awesome!!! Course was great minus all the sand traps :) met a great group of guys.

Course was in good shape even after all the rain we've had. Greens rolling very well and the bunkers actually looked dragged and manicured. I will definitely be back soon.

A championship course with opportunities for Great Deals! This is a premium links style course that requires length, creativity patience. Love this place, arguable the best value course in the state

I'm a bogey golfer and the guy I played with was a double bogey golfer and we still were waiting forever. Almost 3 hrs to play 9 holes. 1 twosome in front and 2 foursomes in front of them. But 2 people from each group were walking and the other 2 were riding which slowed play down big time. They should of let the 2 twosome groups behind them play through in my eyes. The course layout was great. I want to play the north and south so I'll be back.

Was disappointed to see the greens in such disrepair. Of course we've had lots of rain and little sunshine so far this spring so that probably affects this situation.

We have played here twice before and each time we were impressed with the course conditions. This time we were astounded to see the greens literally pockmarked with old unrepaired ball marks -- possibly from last year. The bunkers were always poor here but the layout compensated for it. However, the greens are simply unacceptable. We are not coming back here.

Course was in poor shape. Greens were chewed up. Pace of play was terrible. 4 some held up by a twosome. No rangers. These clowns were wearing sleeveless t shirts and ripped up cargo pants.

Will not be back.

Got there an hour early, but starter git us out early. Greens tough, and fast. Bunkers need work. Fairways good shape. Staff friendly and helpful as usual.

The course was in very good condition for April in spite of recent rains. Cart path only was not required. Played quickly with no waiting on any hole. And, at $16 it was a steal.

If I have to honest I love everything about this course except the sand traps. Not all of them but a lot of the sand traps need attention. Other than that this course is one of the best courses in north east Ohio. The starters are friendly and flexible with getting your group going, and the people in the pro shop are always happy to see you. The course is always green, groomed,and playable with a tee box for everyone’s ability. You will enjoy your day at the Legends.
