Friendly place to play
Greens are acceptable, fairways are getting worse as the season goes on . Course always seems busy seems like they could put a little more money in course conditions and new golf carts

Chiefland Golf & Country Club
This course is a gem in the middle of nowhere. Located west of Chiefland, Florida this course was built by a group of men who loved golf. Fairly easy course to navigate, but if you draw the ball, you will love it. The course sets well for those who hit the ball straight too.
It's winter rules year round in the fairways. The greens are in good condition. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. On some mornings there are men's and women's groups, so I recommend you call the course to check those dates. Love this hidden gem near Manatee State Park in Florida.

The course is a little rough in places but fun to play
The greens are coming along , only 1 or 2 that need some TLC, golf carts could use some upgrading , overall will play here again .

Nice but could be better
We have played this course more than any in our golfing time. Most of the greens are in good condition, just a few not. Fairways are good. Golf carts are an issue. Very old and just need retired. No windshields. Some very slow. Straps for golf bags can’t hold them. And then there is the food and beverage court or the lack of. A reach-in fridge has your cold package sandwiches and microwave ones. Chips and soda. That’s your food for 9 hole break. Yummy. Not.

Only course near Chiefland
Reasonable course got the money. Greens are ok and fairways ate acceptable. Layout has a good amount of variety.

Friendly local course
Good course to relax, hone your game.
Holes are easy to navigate and no extreme challenges exist. Rough more brown leaves, mulch type, but can find ball as compared to courses with thick rough.
Tee boxes ok, not perfect, greens were true and in good shape.
Pace was fair best to pick your tee times around tournaments.
Staff extremely friendly and along with friendly golfers course is an easy choice for any.

Great cheap golf
I'm traveling and have played this course 5 or 6 times now. It is flat but there are enough variations in the lengths of the fairways as well as challenging bunkers around the greens.
Sure the greens aren't in the best shape but even if you play for $, you all have the same disadvantage with a few bare spots. I'm not a great golfer but just had my best round of 95 here as a rookie from the white tees.
