Golfer Reviews
Fun course
Fun to play, some of everything water, sand and a few trees makes this course enjoyable
Told to hurry our round
When we checked in at the pro shop we were told that the four of us would have to hurry as there was a 14 person scramble waiting on us. We completed 4 holes in 40 minutes when the ranger came and hollered very rudely at us that we needed to play faster. Four people doing 4 holes in 40 minutes. ....10 minutes per hole!!! Not slow! They should not have started our foursome in front of their scramble. We ended up skipping a hole..then repeating the front nine. Does this course treat GolfNow hot price bookers differently than full price bookers?
This course needs to be remeasured and re-rated.
Super staff, best pro shop prices and selection, good bar. Course well looked after. Good layout. Yardages on most holes are way out. Wide open with few problems. Not difficult to score well.
Course is in great condition. Greens are in excellent condition.
A True Diamond in the Rough!
This course is a little shorter than most, but has challenges to make up for that in my opinion! As with most courses, I would advise people to play with someone who is familiar with it, or you could pay dearly with a higher round score? On occasion while playing I hear complaints from some golfers "this course is awfully short", then follow them on the round and see them struggle! This gem should be on bucket list if it isn't! Try it "you'll like it"! By the way, the rates are low, staff is friendly, easy to find! Enough said.
Over booked, solo 5 hr round
Overall nice course, but wow this was the worst pace I’ve seen. It was way over booked. 3-4 groups on EVERY HOLE. On more than half of the holes the group in front of me and the group behind me met up and talked before the next shot. When I asked the pro shop for a rain check they politely declined. I will not be back
Hello. Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and to best control pace allowing everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve, and we are glad to see you rated the course conditions to be great during your game. Thank you for playing Meadow Oaks Golf & Country Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Good test
Good lay out with good greens and fairways. Big outing today but still played in 4 hours. Only thing I could complain about was the tee areas being very un level and it did seem there was a lot of different grass types. Like Bermuda roughs where the ball sank right to the bottom.. Overall a pleasant experience and I would play again.
Play it again
The most pleasurable round I have ever played! A very senior oriented course. Par 4's are reachable and 5's as well. A course you can enjoy as an old guy!
Enjoyable Course
I like playing at Meadow Oaks, was not able to play for three years due to back problems, but came back in September and had a great day!
needs work
course needs to be worked back to shape. Closing the driving range to build even more entry level houses does not permit you to warm up. Pro shop is in an office down a hallway and no one is particularly friendly. Seems to have a big drinking crowd of retirees at the bar. The older woman who runs the bar area was nice.
Thank you for taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass along your feedback to the staff so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting us!
Great value
Course was I need great condition. A little shorter and tight in some area. Staff was friendly and courteous. Defiantly recommend this course to play.
Meadow Oaks.....9-29-2019
I have played this course many times in the past and have yet to be disappointed. Played as a twosome in front of a league and was not pushed the entire round. Only slow time was when we caught a twosome of young men playing from the back tees with no game to be there. Always in good condition Meadow Oaks is fairly short in length so I can reach the par fives in two if I hit a decent drive (which is fun). Greens are pretty good, sand in the bunkers is good as well. Just a couple of tee boxes were a bit beat up. If you're a low handicap big hitter then you probably need more a challenge than this course can provide but for 90% of golfers this a great place for a fun round. Definitely be back as it is one of my regular courses to play. FYI, there is no range if that is important to you.
Hot & Humid
Always enjoy playing Meadow Oaks.....one of my favorite courses in the area.....course not too difficult, yet a bit challenging for a 25 handicapper.....
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave Meadow Oaks Golf & Country Club a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
