Water Oak Golf
I've used Golf Now on a number of different courses. My wife doesn't play golf but rides with me while I play. We set out to enjoy a really nice day. After I started my round 1 of the golf starters hunted me down and stated I needed to pay another $16 for my wife to ride with me. He was demanding about it . I've never had that happen at any other courses we've book through Golf Now. To start our day off that way made the day less enjoyable. I won't be back.
Great Day of Golf
We go off campus once a week with our foursome and this is one of the best courses we’ve played recently. The fairways are a little tight with each other. Putting greens were being aerated with a slitter but they still rolled very good. Loved the playing conditions.
Best place to play real golf
This is by far the best place in this area to test your golf game. You need to hit the ball straight. You need to be accurate on the approaches as the greens are small.
The greens are true and fast. If you miss a putt it's your fault, not the green's.
Awesome course
The course continues to get better and better. The new restaurant has some very good menu items, and are reasonably priced. Playing there again this Friday! 👍👍
Very Enjoyable
I took a chance and made a Tee time for 1 hurricane Thursday. Got a hot deal so with rounding up $24 I think. I arrived probably 30 minutes early and no wasn’t busy but everyone was extremely , friendly and Helpful. The drive up to the course tells you there is going to be some fun holes. I was told no rain checks today and I understood as it was just my day off but many were off due to the storm so I knew might get wet at times. Besides burning my opening tee shot about 120 yards I was off. No the fairways are not perfect but if you aren’t controlling your driver you won’t find the fairways anyway haha. I thought they were fine for a course in midst of fixing problems areas. I thought greens were great and I could only imagine how fast they get on a hot afternoon. Tee boxes were very good. Course is tight and lots of elevation changes. Water play on several holes to the mind at least. had a great time though it was cut due to them having to close up per corporate. I also am an employee of “corporate” America so I totally understood. I would have loved a 9 hole rain check just because it was sunny and nice and wasn’t me quitting but honestly I was enjoying their course a lot and again I was told before I went out so was not exit expecting one but would not have turned it down. I recommend this course to anyone and depends on the time you play what it would cost but a price time weekend spot worth $50-60 currently and I would pay what I did plus some and still have enjoyed the workers and the course.
Never again
Course is great. Pairing you up with strangers in same cart because it wS a golf now deal. Especially when they were not busy. Won’t be back.
Beware of the clown on the first tee
Been golfing there with two of my buddies for over three years checked in the pro shop. The lady Who knows us by name was a sweetheart. Got the Golf Cart guy was a class act get to the first T he’s a clown. Lost my slip made me go in the pro shop and get another slip. The problem is we Golf Pass members and he’s a resident member. and doesn’t like that we pay half the price that he does to play there. I said to him you can’t get a cart unless you check in with your slip he doesn’t care give some people power. This is what happens.
Great place to play
I play here almost ever weekend. The only thing I dislike is being paired up and the course saying it’s because I booke on GolfNow. The restaurant is under new management over the past few weeks, prices have increased which is probably why it appeared closed Sunday . Food was good and staff is friendly we will see how this goes.
But for golf always in very good condition and look forward to next round.
Notify of Aerification
Would be nice to know the course had just done an aerification on the greens and parts of some fairways. Nice layout when the course heals.
Drinking water! Topography.
In the Florida heat, it is essential for golf courses to have readily available drinking water every 3-4 holes, particularly in an area where many of the golfers are seniors. 1 source to refill a 20 ounce travel cup per nine holes is inadequate in 100+ heat index. I filled my 30 oz mug once, but ran out again B4 the 8th hole Water is like oxygen, it is critical when you're not getting enough. On the flip side, despite the recent aeration, it is evident that the greens would be wonderful when the aeration holes have completely healed. This course is challenging because of the elevation changes, unusual for courses in the vicinity of The Villages.
