Water Oak Golf Club

Love playing this course, however when I chose the 1/2 players so my wife and I can play we get paired up with another twosome. This has always been good for the most part and those we have played with have been fun. However the course says the reason is due to Golf Now which is a bit irritating when I book for two. On occasion the other pair will be late to our T time so the starter might send us off.. this past Sunday we were these early as w always are. Was told we had to wait for the other pair. We were 1 hr early and there was no one arriving in that hour which we could have played but were told we had to wait. Not a big deal as the weather was nice compared to losing $500.00 last weekend due to weather. I have asked about this pairing multiple times and continue to be told it is Golf Now’s policy. I am think this stinks to be early and wait for others that think they should show up at the T time and then gather themselves to play. It would be nice to just play out round together especially when there are many twosomes and singles behind us or in front. Some are members but those this past Sunday I’m sure we’re not. We play here most every weekend and don’t complain but I think people need to know this supposed policy or rule !

Everything about this course is worth the price. It's a great layout with a lot of fun holes and some very tough holes. Greens are usually very very good. And the staff is very accommodating and friendly. I always look forward to coming here.

They modified the course a couple of years ago. Thus, your gps is unlikely to work.

The greens were slow, but, in good shape.

I like the people working there.

Challenging layout and course in good condition with the exception of 2 greens that were under repair. Tee times were well placed to ensure good pace of game. We will be back!

Played this course numerous times. The greens were sandy due to maintenance. Not going to hold that against them. If the fairways continue to fill in this place will be so much fun to play.

Fun course. Great layout. Decent fairways. Horrible greens. The course will be better in the spring. I'll wait till then

The entire golf course has been lost , tees, fairways and greens are in terrible condition. The residents who waiting 2 years for the course to be built are disgusted now. Its a shame. Nice layout but not worth playing at all 👎🏻

Greens had plenty of sand on them, which seems unusual for this time of year. Typically the greens here are very good. Tees and traps are fine; fairways a bit thin in spots. Terrific friendly staff, and plenty of interesting elevation

changes that set this design apart from most Florida courses. Close proximity of holes make yelling "fore" pretty common. Get a deal and go.

First visit here. Arrived early and advised they were running early and starter got us going in front of a very large group. Course was reopened 2 years ago after a multi-million $ renovation. It is a hilly, up and down layout that's fun and challenging. 5 par 3's are long with majority hitting over water and all carry. Course is close between holes, with errant shots potentially hitting into other golfers.

Greens hadn't been cut in awhile and heavily sanded after seeding to allow them to grow in. Greens should be excellent in a couple months. Nice and firm and will be fast.

Look forward to going back in a few weeks.

Course is a challenging layout with elevation changes. Each time I've been there the greens are SLOW.

I just played there pn 2/6/25 and the greens were covered with sand. Additionally, they were spreading sand and watering them while we were playing.

I would estimate speed of greems to be an 8 or less.

Won't be going back there for a long time.
