Much improved
First time playing in almost a year following major surgery. Was very impressed with the overall improvements of the course and clubhouse. New Owners have done a great job reviving this course.

First time in a year since I played golf following a total hip replacement. The Lakes has improved leaps and bounds since I played last! Very great deal for the $$$!

Greens were a mess i.e., weeds, aeration holes, divots.

The Lakes
We love this course. It could use some better maintenance and the greens are in pretty bad shape at the moment but for the cost you can’t beat it. Great place to work on your short game!

Nice short challenging course . You get to use all your clubs . Greens a bit crab grassy in spots but a good overall value . Staff friendly and accommodating. Will come again

Horrible
I can’t believe they are even open. The “greens” are the worst ever. When I inquired, on conditions…the reply was it’s getting better every week… Sweet Jesus save me !! and save yourself total aggravation. Putting on these “greens” was honestly like putting on 50 year old blacktop… my ball zigged zagged jumped and actually backed up 3 inches at times!! We laughed it was so bad. Oh well… it was a $20 lesson on where NOT to play. Pace of play was lightning fast !! Because I saw 3 other players all day

Give 'em time
Great Pro Shop/19th hole, new EZGO carts make an impressive intro to the course. But...as noted in previous reviews the tees, fairways and greens need a lot of work. However, it's obvious changes are in the works. Trees have been removed, etc. This is a great course to practice your short game, but they also have some challenging par 4's and a 500+ yard Par 5 [from the back tees] as a finishing hole. I have a feeling that in a year or so they'll have the course in much better shape.

Terrible course
This is without a doubt the worst golf course I’ve ever played in all my life! The greens weren’t green and had more weeds and dirt and sand on it then grass.. The fairways were in terrible shape! Very overpriced for what you got which is a little long par three course.

Worth a look
Course is in transition so a few things could improve. Most greens were good fairways and tee boxes could be better.
Short course not for big hitters mostly Par 3s a few Par 4s and the 18th is a short Par 5 that said it is a nice lay out with interesting holes. Definitely will play again.

Bad game!
These are the worst fairway and greens. There are employees out cutting on stumps instead of working on the course. Don’t waste your money!
