Horrendously slow
The starter who doesn't have a brain in his head. Sends out a slow foursome, then follows it up with a single and 3 twosomes. One would think it best to team the 7 players up into a threesome and a foursome, so the other players behind the foursome wouldn't have to wait on every single shot. Apparently, this never entered his thick cranium.
Then, after the first nine holes, the idiot lets another foursome start on #10 and the single and 3 twosomes. Had to follow another foursome. We walked off after playing #12.
Love the greens, some of the fairways are very rutted, but for the most part okay. Can be a tough layout, but long hitters, not to be confused with me, will eat this course alive. I play here a lot, but the price has gone up big time! I know this is because of the snowbirds but it's almost pricing me out. Again, some of the best greens around! And the staff is phenomenal and great $4 hot dogs at the turn. Nevertheless, recommend it...
A good challenge
Greens were good and rolling at a good speed
Everything is very clear and well-laid out on front 9
Back 9 on 2-3 holes, the hole-routing could use a little improvement
Overall a fun and challenging experience
Definitely recommend playing this course with the elevation changes that provide a thrill to golfers of all levels
Great Course
Interesting layout with elevation changes. A mixture of water and sand trap hazards. Some interesting blind uphill tee shots. Greens were beautiful but had subtle breaks the hard for an amateur to read. Check in person was pleasant and very helpful. I will definitely play there again
Water Oak GC
The course is in fantastic shape. Staff is friendly and informative. If it was closer I would play there every week.
Great value
First time playing this course. We all agreed this course is a great value. The staff were very helpful, and the course was in very good condition. Alot of fun. I am looking forward to playing it again.
Great fun course
Fairways are coming back and greens are in great shape. Fun course makes you play a tight game for most holes and all kinds of elevation changes.
Mostly Great
A short but challenging layout I have played a couple of dozen times; the price is right, tee boxes are very good and the greens are great!
The only gripe I have is SOME of the fairways are really bad because of rutting and if you're not careful your kidneys will take a beating.
Overall a good course compared to some of the cow pastures charging $40 and I definitely recommend it.
A little much
On sunday play . Pushed into a foursome. A couple and two singles. Didnt make sense. The course was empty almost. No one behind or in front. And it actually slowed play down. They could have, and should have, let the couple stay as is. And put me and the other single in a cart with a different start time.
Whats the big deal if the place isnt busy !!!
