BlackHorse Golf Club - North Course

Excellent greens , fairways darn good for February. Pro shop friendly and helpful as was starter . Course had really good variety of holes , difficult but not gruelling and score able of playing well

A rare day in the 70s for February combined with a scramble made for a double whammy of a filled to capacity golf complex. Having two courses can be really advantageous but on this day…all the carts were in use and there was a 10 minute wait after clearing the pro shop. Then, there was a 20 minute wait until the scramble belatedly got going. I did finish just ahead of sunset but…had not one but two golf carts run out of power. Obviously time was insufficient to give returned carts a sufficient recharge. Might be time to purchase or rent some additional carts.

Deep green side bunkers, thin sand and elevated greens are not my style. This combined with the lack of grass made the course harder than it was designed to play. I have to mention that the lack of grass is do to the time of year and not uncommon.

Pace of play for 18 holes was 4hrs 45 minutes.

Greens had good amount of slope but rolled true.

I think it's a little too pricey. I play the other courses out here in Houston area that have just as good as Greens in fairways and the pace of play is quicker for less money.
